They didn't jump some fence, they didn't swim across the Rio Grande. They didn't hide from the border patrol. They walked right through a legal point of entry. Walked right up to a border patrol agent and requested asylum. And here is the thing, the border patrol listens to their case. They could very well have said, "Nope, turn around, we deny your request". And they do that, quite often.

But these people, they were granted temporary asylum. They were even given real paperwork. You know, like "show me your papers" kind of horseshit. They got the flippin damn papers. You got your fawking papers? And they were scheduled a hearing at a location that is close to where they are headed, or if not heading any place in particular, to a nearby location.

Two of every four Somali-Minnesotans intercepted at New York’s JFK airport on route to an ISIS training camp had used federal financial-aid funds to pay for their travel.​
