Liberal democracies have dozens of successful examples. But I am interested in what nations implement the right wing dream of government that Trump's policies desire to implement. Where in the world can we look for successful implementation of right wing principles of government? Surely someone must have examples of these policies working.

Just for thought starters I pulled the rankings of key metrics of success for countries. Surprisingly they are replete with liberal democracies with high taxes, strong welfare states, and high social trust..

Please keep the flame wars to a minimum. Just looking for a discussion on where the right wing is killing it in success world wide.

Happiest Countries in the World: Switzerland, Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Canada, Finland
Healthiest Countries in the World: Spain, Italy, Iceland, Japan, Switzerland, Finland, Norway
Richest Countries in the World: Ireland, Norway, Switzerland, US, some small countries
Most Educated Countries in the World: Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Canada
Most Free Countries in the World: Switzerland, New Zealand, Denmark, Ireland, Finland, Australia, Sweden, Iceland.
Most Opportunity Countries in the World: Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany

By “right-wing dream” I assume we mean:
  • Low taxes / small welfare state
  • Strong nationalism
  • Strict immigration control
  • Weak labor protections
  • Strong executive power
  • Minimal regulation
  • Market fundamentalism
  • Traditionalist social policy

GO!

Does this mean you are moving????? Please.

Here are better examples. Show me cities where democrat one party rule works. These are the places with crime homeless high rent and housing costs people leaving in large numbers high taxes poor schools.

AMERICA

When we cut taxes and spending, the economy prospers, the debt/deficit goes down, and America wins.

Interesting that the US, which clearly isnt great according to rankings of almost every metric, otherwise MAGA wouldnt have to say MAKE it great AGAIN. I dont think we rate high enough across the board to be a success outside of wealth and power. We also arent the conservative model yet.

A few posts up a poster suggested the US is the example I am looking for. Seems you are suggesting it isnt. Do you have a country that is effectively implementing your dream of conservative government?

I been looking into some of this for a little while (and certainly not as much as I plan to going forward) because I am impressed with some of what I see.

One of the biggest differences I see is cultural.

Many of these countries have social safety nets, but it does not appear they are abused the way they are in the United States. They are raised with a different attitude towards things. I could be wrong....but that seems to be part of what I see.

Also, Many of these countries are about the population of a state like Penn. I just wonder why some state in the union hasn't tried their approach to things. They have all they need (well they did, until the democrats decided states don't need to exist any more).

Seems like my request for a right wing model is harder than I thought. Hmmm.
everyone of those countries you mention has shitty parts as well as nice parts......the people who happen to live in those shitty spots dont think that liberal democracy is so great....

Well folks, the OP (as is usual) is formulating an argument that doesn't do enough in terms of defining things.

First, we can look at the happiest countries in the world. This is based on a WHO judgement that surveys the population and then applies their criteria to the evaluation. They heavily weigh things like social safety nets and trust in the government.

I won't argue with them on those points, but I will say that such a comparison purposely pushes the US down the list (where it has pretty much been the entire time they've done this). It's also an average quality of life. In those countries you simply don't have the span from the poor to the rich that the U.S. has.

Another variable is generorsity of the general population.

The United States is loaded with people who have become very greedy.

Finally, you are talking about countries that often have population of between 5 and 15 million people. We have metro areas bigger than that.

So, maybe they should look at individual states.

Of course, if you use their criteria, most blue states would come out on top.

So, there is much more to this than the loaded question that was asked in the OP.

Which, again, isn't unusual for the moron who posted it..

That's a lot of WHITE countries! seems you're saying countries run by white people are more successful.

Especially given the issues they've had, as of late, with immigration.

Much of Europe is swinging right based on that issue alone.
