Actually. It is only if you have been adjudged as a threat to yourself or others. That is a legal finding. So it would require a court decision. Absent that, the individual is totally within their rights to purchase a gun. 2nd Amendment doesn’t offer any alternative.

Anyone with apparent physiological issues - can't be allowed to own a gun. That goes for everyone - not just for transgenders.
The question therefore should be; are there physiological evaluation tests for gun holders and applicants in place? Or as I experienced some 20 years ago in the USA, a simple drivers-license suffices.
