Should the US abandon the LEGAL immigration process?

Since it is clear we have a new process for admitting illegal, undocumented immigrants should we shut down our LEGAL immigration offices? We could transfer the personnel from those offices to the border states who are currently dealing with 200,000 immigrants per month. The border patrol is overwhelmed and they aren't getting the help they need to process the thousands of people per day coming across the border.

Is there work for that many immigrants? If not they will go home on their own. People migrate where the work is.

No, they will add to our homless and crime problems. Most of them would be FAR more willing to break into your garage and steal some shit to pawn, than to go back to Mexico after all they went through to get here.

No they won't. In El Paso many have already become part of the fabric of the homeless. Many will fight for what they want. Many will go to work for the cartels as drug dealers, couriers or enforcers.

You do not need more criminals for sure. Get tough with border security. Could border states send their national guards to the border?

Closed borders, closed or greatly reduced border crossings/customs is why they are crossing the river, outside of border crossing points.

We should stack the border point crossing to the hilt, having them request asylum the normal way, instead of overwhelming border patrol outside of legal crossing points...imo.

The normal way is for them to request asylum from their home country, not at border crossing points.

Nahhhhh...

Just make it illegal to hire an Illegal Alien...

Or sell or rent housing to one...

Or sell or rent a vehicle to one...

Or enroll one in school...

Or provide medical care (other than emergency life-saving) to one...

Or provide banking or wire-transfer services to one...

Or enlist one in the US Armed Forces...

And a few other bullet points...

They'll not only go home on their own, but they'll do so at light speed...

-------

And for enforcement, make violations a Federal crime, not a State or local one...

And make it a crime NOT to ENFORCE such laws...
