To be honest, I doubt a future democrat president would pardon them and put them on a path to citizenship.

I'm a little torn on this issue though as these people come here for free room and board from our government and putting them in a US prison would be doing exactly that. I also don't favor just deporting them where they pay no price and could be right back here doing it yet all over again.

I guess the best option would be to deport them to a place where we are assured they will be jailed and we will never see them again and a place where we have no control over whether they meet a bad fate at the hands of those who jail them. In other words, accidents happen.
