Should blood donation center accept my identified gender or be allowed to force assigned gender on donors?

Should I be able to force blood center to accept self-identified gender?

Yesterday, I attempted to donate blood. I was rejected because my hemoglobin was too low. The minimum for a female is 12.5 and for a male is 13.0. My score came in at 12.5. My assigned-at-birth gender was male, but I consider myself a transgender female. The center would not accept my blood. Were my rights violated? Do you think I could sue?

Thoughts?
Will you be donating your eggs at the local fertility clinic anytime soon?

HE might be the first MAN to have a baby. :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

Not gonna hold my breath for it to happen though.

BTW, this thread was created for HIM to get attention. You know that right?

You should not make mental health diagnoses without meeting the patient.
We did meet the patient, you introduced yourself, told us what you are thinking, told us what you tried to do. You are very much mentally ill. You need professional help, giving contaminated blood to patients in surgery is reckless. You are mentally ill. If you attempt to give blood again it is a crime. Knowingly donating contaminated blood is a crime.

Everyone knows gender confused can not give blood

Did you expect your Hgb to decline when you decided you wanted to be a "woman"?

Yeah, but whatever. He's got a take and while it sucks, it's amusing and slightly interesting.

No, you're kinda SOL. Part of the paperwork you sign is they can reject you for any reason or no reason at all.

Like Sassy said, you should try a different place.

Or, build up your blood hemoglobin before you go back there. Foods rich in iron, like spinach, liver, etc.

Yes, the rooster and drake eggs in my refrigerator.
My point is that you can consider yourself a female all day long, but you can't donate your own eggs because you don't have any.

It's the same reason why you need to have a man's hemoglobin level to donate your male blood.

It happened in Greenwich CT yesterday. I won't identify the blood donation center.

I call BS. You're just wanting to tell people you're confused about your gender.

.

Why?

What we think is not going to change any blood center's policies.
