Should Arabic numerals be taught in schools?

Except for the C, they were much easier to chisel onto a stone tablet than our ARABIC ones. The Arabs must have gone straight to wall painting or papyrus.

You'll get no argument from me. I prefer Arabic numerals to Cyrillic or Binary, which has no soul.

It can be learned electively, but in my opinion it shouldn't be a requirement. With this being America, the American way of life is what should be out there. If you want to learn about other countries, you know where to find them.

You mean American public schools? What grade level? Surely American kids should be able to take an Arabic numbers course in secondary schools if it is a popular course with a guaranteed A.
