Shooting in Berlin.......you know, where they have gun control....?

Shooting in Berlin...

An early morning shooting in Berlin that left four men seriously injured and triggered a large police manhunt is believed to be linked to organised crime groups, the public prosecutor’s office said.

For every one European gun shooting story you can talk about, there are one hundred thousand American ones. Can you see the difference? Doubt it.

I bet you have your trousers around your ankles and knock one out when a non-US shooting happens.

Can you see the difference...? In the U.S., armed Americans use their legal guns 1.1 million times a year, average, to stop rapes, robberies and murder. That number comes from the Centers for Disease control research. Lives saved from life changing injuries and deaths........because our people can fight back.

Also....after World War 1 the countries of Europe took guns away from their peoples.........and in the 1930-40s, the German socialist murdered 12 million innocent men, women and children....people who no longer had a means to protect themselves......thanks to you guys taking their guns away..........

So please, lectures about the wonders of Europe, the place of 2 World Wars, nazism, communism, and every other evil in the world are pretty silly.
Americans have to, they're a violent culture, they're built on violence.

Says a guy on a British thread? Really? Feudalism, British Civil War, World War 1, World War 2, Colonization......you guys transported the slaves on your ships...forget about that?

Are you really this clueless?

You are comparing today to the past? You can't get anymore stupid than that.

America's independence came out of violence and it's constitution protects the right to be violent. And violent you are and thus lock up the most people per capita. Do you feel it's other countries fault? Get to grips with your violence and you won't have to be do anal over guns. It's as though you are having to compensate with a gun!!

I am comparing the same time period .............you claim less guns means less gun murder...... I just demonstrated that less guns allowed for 12 million men, women and children to be murdered, in a very short period of time.......

I fault the democrat party of the U.S. for our crime rates.......their policies create criminals, then their policies release those criminals over and over again despite long records of crime and violence. It is those individuals driving our crime rates....not normal people who own and carry guns.

Where did "Great Britain" come from again? Throwing daisies at foreign countries, is it?

I thought Americans being so violent was the only reason why our murder rate is so high. You make that claim every day.

I point out, over and over, that it is the policies of the democrat party that create criminals, and their policies that keep releasing those criminals over and over again....

That is the claim......

And again, normal people who own and carry guns do not increase the violent crime rate....

Here....twit.......this is why we have our levels of gun violence in democrat party controlled cities......

A felon, arrested on a gun charge, is released by a democrat party judge, on a democrat party policy of affordable bail.......gets out, then tries to murder a police officer with another illegal gun...

A Chicago man was charged Saturday with the attempted murder of an off-duty police officer just after noon New Year’s Day on the West Side. The alleged murder attempt unfolded just two weeks after a judge released the accused man on “affordable bail” for being a felon in possession of a firearm and resisting police.

Jermaine Morris, 34, is also a “person of interest” in yet another shooting, according to a CPD statement. Detectives are currently seeking charges in that case, police said.

The problem in the United States is the democrat party......the social ills of our country are the direct result of their policies and actions...

That is an interesting question, btw. I know that the main reason of the 2nd amendment having been adopted (in theory at least) was enabling the people to resist a possible tyranny that takes away the people's rights. Not to prevent crime, per se.

Whether it is possible on practice remains in question.

It was written 233 years ago. You could defend your house with a musket. If the government wanted to take your city they could in short order. The whole gun-nut idea that you're going to stare down your government is stupid. The only reason it gets repeated is to try to justify the 30,000 or so gun deaths per year as being the cost of doing business because we can accept he gun deaths for the ephemeral and hilarious supposed benefit of being able to fend off the first armor division with your winchester.
Most gun deaths are suicides..if someone is going to shoot themselves, they will find another means to kill even without the guns. This said, many murderers fail at trying to kill themselves earlier----so I fully support allowing those who want to kill themselves to kill themselves.

Allowing the populous to stay armed means that the citizens always have an armed milita that can fight back even if only in guerilla warfare type tactics--which has deterred alot of tyranny for 230 years.......It also means that we an armed populous that can and will shot the brown shirts of yesterday and the ones of now. It also means that we always have young men going into the military knowing how to shoot.

What the hell is it to corn that the US keeps its weapons to fight off you communists.

As is always the case, fewer guns means more people living.

That's a lie.......those that are inclined to murder will murder regardless of weapons. When unarmed, criminals gain the upper hand and are able to kill more, rape more, rob more. Gun deter criminals and evil tyranical governments alike.

Neverthless it is a first step to minimize weapons. A broad will to minimize weapons will also minimize other forms of murder. But the weapon industry and the NRA minimizes public critics and pay nothing for the victims, which are murdered with their weapons.

When unarmed, criminals gain the upper hand and are able to kill more, rape more, rob more.

What's nonsense, if you take a look to other nations in the world.

When bankers used forms of cheap mini-credits to improve the situation of life in the third world they found out that women were often much more successful than men with this credits in their patriarchal dominated societies, what was very astonishing. The main reason: Women sold tools and looked for education and started to produce and to sell something - men bought cars and weapons to show to other men their richdom and priviledged situation.

Its not a lie...statistics show that those who try to kill themselves are over 80% effective if they use a gun. It drops considerably with other methods.

Cities overseas don't have a massive crime problem...they are "disarmed".

The Weimar government took guns away from normal citizens based on the violence of two violent left wing groups. They promised that the lists of gun owners would only be used by police.........that was in the 20s. Then, in the 30s when the national socialists came to power, they used those lists to disarm the enemies of the party.....and went on to murder 12 million men, women and children......since the other countries of Europe also disarmed their people......

You don't know what you are talking about....

Fact Check, Gun Control and Suicide

There is no relation between suicide rate and gun ownership rates around the world.
According to the 2016 World Health Statistics report, (2) suicide rates in the four countries cited as having restrictive gun control laws have suicide rates that are comparable to that in the U. S.: Australia, 11.6, Canada, 11.4, France, 15.8, UK, 7.0, and USA 13.7 suicides/100,000. By comparison, Japan has among the highest suicide rates in the world, 23.1/100,000, but gun ownership is extremely rare, 0.6 guns/100 people.

Suicide is a mental health issue. If guns are not available other means are used.

Poisoning, in fact, is the most common method of suicide for U. S. females according to the Washington Post (34 % of suicides), and suffocation the second most common method for males (27%).

Secondly, gun ownership rates in France and Canada are not low, as is implied in the Post article. The rate of gun ownership in the U. S. is indeed high at 88.8 guns/100 residents, but gun ownership rates are also among the world’s highest in the other countries cited. Gun ownership rates in these countries are are as follows: Australia, 15, Canada, 30.8, France, 31.2, and UK 6.2 per 100 residents. (3,4) Gun ownership rates in Saudia Arabia are comparable to that in Canada and France, with 37.8 guns per 100 Saudi residents, yet the lowest suicide rate in the world is in Saudia Arabia (0.3 suicides per 100,000).

Third, recent statistics in the state of Florida show that nearly one third of the guns used in suicides are obtained illegally, putting these firearm deaths beyond control through gun laws.(5)

Fourth, the primary factors affecting suicide rates are personal stresses, cultural, economic, religious factors and demographics. According to the WHO statistics, the highest rates of suicide in the world are in the Republic of Korea, with 36.8 suicides per 100,000, but India, Japan, Russia, and Hungary all have rates above 20 per 100,000; roughly twice as high as the U.S. and the four countries that are the basis for the Post’s calculation that gun control would reduce U.S. suicide rates by 20 to 38 percent. Lebanon, Oman, and Iraq all have suicide rates below 1.1 per 100,000 people--less than 1/10 the suicide rate in the U. S., and Afghanistan, Algeria, Jamaica, Haiti, and Egypt have low suicide rates that are below 4 per 100,000 in contrast to 13.7 suicides/100,000 in the U. S.

Suicide rates: An overview

Methods of suicide vary by sex and age
Over the past ten years, the most common method of suicide in Canada has been hanging (44%), which includes strangulation and suffocation; followed by poisoning (25%) and firearm use (16%).
Males were most likely to commit suicide by hanging (46%) while females most often died by poisoning (42%) (Chart 2). Males (20%) were far more likely to use firearms than females (3%).

What part of the governments in Europe murdering 12 million unarmed people do you not understand?

Criminals with guns in the U.S. over 97 years of gun murder....900,000 people...

More guns=more gun deaths. We prove it every day. Other nations don't have our rates of gun deaths...because they don't have our gun problem--which is a direct correlation to our having a second amendment.

Gun deter criminals and evil tyranical governments alike.

“To disarm the people…is the most effectual way to enslave them.”
– George Mason

When bankers used forms of cheap mini-credits to improve the situation of life in the third world they found out that women were often much more successful than men with this credits in their patriarchal dominated societies, what was very astonishing. The main reason: Women sold tools and looked for education and started to produce and to sell something - men bought cars and weapons to show to other men their richdom and priviledged situation.

What part of the governments in Europe murdering 12 million unarmed people do you not understand?

Every part.

And you think you having a rifle is going to stop that? I know logic means nothing to you but are a an idiot who doesn't use logic
That is an interesting question, btw. I know that the main reason of the 2nd amendment having been adopted (in theory at least) was enabling the people to resist a possible tyranny that takes away the people's rights. Not to prevent crime, per se.

Whether it is possible on practice remains in question.

Stats prove you wrong.
More guns=more gun deaths. We prove it every day. Other nations don't have our rates of gun deaths...because they don't have our gun problem--which is a direct correlation to our having a second amendment.

Gun Homicide Rate Down 49% Since 1993 Peak; Public Unaware

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

You don't even understand that their cultures are different from ours, in particular the culture of their criminal underclass....they have guns.....they have access to guns, in particular, their gun of choice is the fully automatic military rifle with grenades thrown in for fun...

They simply do not choose to use those guns to commit murder as often as criminals in democrat party controlled cities in the U.S. do......what part of that dynamic is so hard for you to understand?

Our criminals do not have to murder each other.....they choose to murder each other. It is criminals murdering other criminals that make up 80% of our gun murder victims...and of the rest, you have the friends and family of criminals caught up in their decision to pull triggers against each other.

Normal Americans with their legal guns do not choose to shoot other people....normal Americans own about 600 million guns and over 19.4 million actually carry guns in public.....they do not choose to use those guns to shoot people......

That is what you do not understand.....guns aren't the issue....the choices of criminals are the issue.

Stats prove you wrong.
More guns=more gun deaths. We prove it every day. Other nations don't have our rates of gun deaths...because they don't have our gun problem--which is a direct correlation to our having a second amendment.

As more Americans, over the last 27 years, have not only owned guns, but carried them in public for self defense?

Gun Homicide Rate Down 49% Since 1993 Peak; Public Unaware

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

Yet amazingly in other first world nations, their homicide rate is in the dozens...not tens of thousands like ours.
The reason? The second amendment.

Are you saying Americans are just innately more violent than other cultures around the world? Do you see that as a good thing?

And you think you having a rifle is going to stop that? I know logic means nothing to you but are a an idiot who doesn't use logic
That is an interesting question, btw. I know that the main reason of the 2nd amendment having been adopted (in theory at least) was enabling the people to resist a possible tyranny that takes away the people's rights. Not to prevent crime, per se.

Whether it is possible on practice remains in question.

Its not a lie...statistics show that those who try to kill themselves are over 80% effective if they use a gun. It drops considerably with other methods.

Cities overseas don't have a massive crime problem...they are "disarmed".
Your pea shooter is useless against the "evil" government armies.

Guns are not the problem.....you don't know what you are talking about....
