Wow, so this is a really interesting story. For many years now I've been trying to figure out who that lady who was a guest speaker at my elementary school (don't ask as even I don't know) talking about and who she was until The Irish Ram started talking about it in another thread of mine on here and I finally could identify them both and what the book was that was based upon this so called experience and now I'm finding out today that it didn't even happen at all nearly thirty years later. Has anybody else heard this story before because I'm like whoa, a vivid memory I've had since I was a child turned out to be a lie.

Maybe. I lived out there at the time, and have never read the book. But the eyewitness accounts don't carry a whole lot of weight. You are a kid, seeing your friends bleed out in front of you, and believe that you are about to die, may have altered their reality a bit.

A professor set up a scenario, that while she was teaching, someone walked down the hall and saw the teacher's purse on her desk. The person walked into the classroom, grabbed the purse and ran out. The teacher feigned upset and asked the kids in her class to write down everything they saw. The responses were crazy!
So, I don't know, but as a mom, if that is what she wanted for her child, then, bless her. I can still hug mine everyday. :11_2_1043:
