Americans’ Deepening Mistrust of Institutions

I want to keep this question as straightforward and benign as I can.

I think we can all agree that LLDs, in general, has a lower level of trust in America's institutions, such as the press, the courts, the government, regulatory bodies and statistical reporting. Let me know if you disagree.

Based on that, we're seeing a general divergence in America's ability to look at a number or a result or a "fact" and agree on what it is. I'm actually not sure if LLDs considers that to be a good thing or a bad thing, so please comment on that.

So, my question(s): What is your long-term opinion of how our society and civilization look like as this continues? What do you suppose happens as the gulf between basic perceptions widens? Is that where you see a literal split in the country, away from 50 states, and is that your goal?

I see moar abuses by the feds and states, along with an erosion of civil rights at the behest of the rich and powerful.

I, ALSO , see more perversion at the mob behest of the wretched refuse of our teeming shores

I don't see a split, so much as a revolution, and a new system of government. I probably don't have 20 years left, so I'll never see it, but it will have to happen some day.

The left is in a clear retreat as 4 years of Bidens dramatic failures and unpopular positions such as gender absurdity, open borders, weak on crime, inflation caused by massive government spending, high energy costs, the failure of green energy to meet the demand of AI, the Biden dementia cover up. Democrats re even showing compassion for criminals and none for victims. Democrats have declined from failures to downright stupid. Feelings are more important than facts and they will create false facts to support their feelings. Add antisemitism to the list.

Its not a divergence its the mass rejection of socialism.

Leftists, liberals and Democrats.

One of those things is not like the others.
They are a difference without any distinction add progressives socialists Marxists communists and you have the entire family of social destruction and oppression

This is what I would expect:

"Meanwhile, about 6 in 10 Americans say that churches and religious organizations have a positive impact on the country. But there is a major partisan gap in views between Republicans (a party whose largest religious subgroup is White evangelical Protestants) and Democrats (a party in which those without any religious affiliation make up the largest “religious subgroup”). Nearly 3 in 4 Republicans say that churches are making the country a better place. At the same time, just over half of Democrats think that they have a negative effect on the country’s direction."

I disagree.

Leftist Democrats ARE a representation of the institution. It is pervasive, and it is organized on a global scale integrated so seamlessly into our lives that few even notice it.

All agree? MAGA is lowering trust in the press, courts, government and statistical reporting. Your post is insane and why I say, “MAGA lies”.

This is consistent with the general attitude of LLDs that 'your rules do not apply to me'.
