Consider McCain before his re-election bid and how he spoke so glowingly about Trump as he knew he needed his supporters votes, almost immediately after his win he has been as critical as any.

I'm going to state this and those on this site can hold me to this prediction, if Trump's party doesn't get behind him and enact his policy promises, not only will Trump lose in 2020, but, the next government will be alt-left, full blown socialist. Consider the Democrats motto "a better choice", basically copy and pasting Trumps campaign promises while knowing full well that the only candidate that could promise and enact these would be someone far left of center.
