Senate Republicans trigger 'nuclear option,' changing rules to speed up Trump nominees

If you look back you will see that I am on record as calling reid an idiot when he did it.
I agree. Reid was an idiot. But at the time the short-sighted Democrats demanded it.

We tried to tell what it would lead to... and it has.

But the truth is, our paths as a nation have diverged to a point that we no longer have the common ground to compromise on.

So, what comes next?

They can now approve nominees in a block rather than voting on them individually.

So they have been busy while everyone is distracted.

They can now approve nominees in a block rather than voting on them individually.

That means no-one is vetting these folks.

This is great.

And as usual the blind partisan right attempts to defend the indefensible.

When Democrats do the same thing Republicans scream bloody murder.

what the dems have done with average everyday nominees for the last 6 months is criminal and they have no room to complain that this happened. the republicans tried to compromise with the dems and they said no. Go cry some more about seating department heads and every other mundane appointee we don't care.

wrong this was brought up weeks ago and Thune tried to get the democrats to quit obstructing every single nominee for every single position and they said no.
