If Trump wins and Republicans retain control of the Senate we can pack the court and Dems won't oppose it?

They will need the House also

If Dems take all three, why should they not use their power?
Because it would be stupid and appear to the centrists to be a open move to grasp political power at any cost. That would cost the Democrats in the next election in 2022.

You think appointing Barrett doesn't look like an open move to grasp political power?

It looks like another HUGE win for president Trump to me! :eusa_dance:

What did Trump do?

McConnell blocked Obama from filling seats and then packed the courts with young Conservatives
Didn't block anything. Just didn't call a vote. His right.

And it will be the Democrat's right to add more members to the court.
That is a horrible idea, no natter which side does it.
I can’t stress that enough.

McConnell blocking all those Obama appointments and leaving them for Trump to fill was a horrible idea. Now that your party set the precedent, it's a little late for you to start whining about what your party set in motion.

McConnell blocking all those Obama appointments and leaving them for Trump to fill was a horrible idea.

How many did he block?

Now that your party set the precedent,

You think 2015-2016 was the first time a Senate controlled by an opposing party has left some
court seats open at the end of a President's term? LOL!
They just don’t seem to get it.
Then they take their perceived slight, and think “well then we will do this!” And plan to do something incredibly stupid (pack the court.
Despite me saying repeatedly that I would be opposed to anyone doing it, and telling them it’s an absolutely horrible road to go down, they keep responding like bitter little partisans.
Hey clowns, ITS A HORRIBLE IDEA NO MATTER WHO DOES IT!!!
it's a demofk threat and only a demofk threat. stop with the both party shit. The GOP never ever did what the demofks do. never ever. The demofks created the nuclear option in the Senate. Not the republicans. Ending filibustering was the demofks, not the republicans, and now they are threatening this. It is always a threat from the demofks. Alwys
Mitch turned the filibuster from a rarely used tool to a constant 60 vote requirement
That’s how it works when the majority party won’t compromise with the minority party. The filibuster was designed to force compromise rather than one party rule.
Thats what happens when you have minority rule.

The Republicans exist on minority rule in the Senate, House, White House and now the Courts

Democrats are also a minority party, Sport. Your command of the English language is as bad as the government that educated you

Most Americans overwhelmingly vote Democratic

In the Senate, Dems control the big population states of California, NY and Illinois
Republicans counter with Wyoming and the Dakotas and get the same number of Senators

In the House, Republicans used the census of 2010 to Gerrymander représentation well in excess of the votes they received.

Of Course, Trump received 3 million fewer votes than Clinton

That is why Mitch McConnell is so intent on seizing the court system for a generation by packing it with young, unqualified Conservatives

More of your lies. Hillary didn't get a majority. Most Democrats don't. You're another government educated failure who literally doesn't know what the word "majority" means.

The country is split, independents are a large percent. Few candidates get a majority

Trump got 3 million fewer votes than Hillary.

Hillary didn't get a majority. The majority of voters voted "no" to Hillary. You went to a government school, didn't you?
Can't read? He didn't say Hillary got a majority. He said she got 3 million more votes than Trump.

Most people voted "no" to Hillary. That she's the people's choice is the stupid that you people are, angry little tot.

Is Stewie actually based on you?
And she still got millions more votes than Impeached Trump.

Faun the angry little boy: Biden would have confirmed a Republican AFTER the election, kaz! He would he would he would! {kicks and screams, falls on the floor, rolls in circles} He would he would he would!

Seriously? How old are you?
LOL

You poor thing, you just can't stop kazzing, can ya?

No, I didn't say Biden would have confirmed a Republican after the election had Bush lost. He wouldn't have.

According to Biden, they would have held hearings after the election. Doesn't mean they would have confirmed them, but he said they would hold them.
Yes Kaz lied, but he couldn't even find the issue. The issue is that RBG said she'd have retired in 2014 but McConnell wouldn't have confirmed an Obama nomination in 15. The Ghoul's seating Barrett pretty much proves that to anyone who actually thought RBG didn't understand McConnell.
If Obama had appointed her replacement in 2014, McConnell could not have stopped her being confirmed by the Democrat majority, in 2014.

But, now we have ACB and she's awesome! The majority of Americans supported her confirmation before the election. Win/Win/Win!
RBG---in the end, screwed the democrat party over BIG TIME!!!! Thank you RUTHIE BABY------------
May she rest in peace knowing that a STRONG INTELLIGENT woman now holds the seat she one held.

May she rest in misery, knowing that the American people are taking back their self-governance from her sanctimonious, elitist ilk.

Most Americans overwhelmingly vote Democratic
Most illegals vote Democrap.
Most perverts vote Democrap
Most dead people vote Democrap.

There fixed it for you.
:cuckoo:

I like the guy in the fag S&M outfit calling someone crazy, LOL
LOL

Your homo-erotic fantasies are noted and laughed at.

You're the one in the queer sex suit
I'm glad I have that moron on iggy
Not many people openly admit they're a pussy like you just did. Kudos to you for your honesty.

Again, you chose the homosexual fantasy suit, not us
Says you, the pervert expressing his own homo-erotic fantasies in a political thread.

Yes, she certainly did. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2009 when Democrats controlled the Senate and White House.

Yeah, but she wanted it to be some big "statement" by having her replacement nominated by a woman President. Too bad for her that the United States didn't really give a shit about her priorities.

Ginsburg also opposed stacking the court and Democrats are already planning to shit on her grave. They only care what she wanted when it's what they want

Truthfully, they only care what THEY want and can project onto her.

That’s the way the founders who were a lot smarter than you designed the system to work. A House of Representatives to represent the people and a Senate to represent the states. To get anything done, both houses either have to want the same thing, or arrive at a compromise. Our entire system from the courts to the presidency was designed to prevent one powerful party being able to ride roughshod over the rights and will of the average citizen. The Senate was supposed to act conservatively and not be subject to the fickle winds of public opinion, that’s why Senators serve for six years and were appointed by state governments rather than running for public election every two years like members of the House. The stable, slow moving senate was supposed to be the keel of the national government’s sailboat, keeping it on a steady course while the house responded to the quickly changing winds like it’s sails. Both working together could steer the ship of state safely to wise governance.

You get more deranged every day. There is no "packing", even the Dems have dropped that stupid talking point. What is your obsession with the "popular vote"? It means nothing in the United States.

The will of the people does mean something in the U.S. They weren't capable of counting the popular vote, so the electoral college was in the constitution, but it was never meant to override the will of the people. Since 1864, the first year popular vote was recorded, that fluke has only appeared 5 times.
If they weren't capable of counting the popular vote, WTF did they count to get to the EC result?

This should be funny...................

Each state was responsible for appointing their own electors. You'll have to look up each state's rules for determining who those electors would be.

Yeah, ACB is unqualified, huh. What an idiotic post.

WTF is an ACB?
Amy Coney Barrett.
Elections have consequences.

Now that your party set the precedent,

court seats open at the end of a President's term? LOL!

Both working together could steer the ship of state safely to wise governance.
well the demofks are telling you and me that they don't like it. go away and die mther fkers, is their stance.

I believe that they are confused by the difference between a majority and a plurality. Hillary had a pluarlity, of the popular vote which is meaningless. The presidency is decided by a vote of the states, not of the people. It’s another of the “ checks and balances” engineered into the system by the founders.

Yeah, ACB is unqualified, huh. What an idiotic post.

WTF is an ACB?
Amy Coney Barrett.
Elections have consequences.

Republicans are the minority party, Sport. The Senators who voted for ACB represent 13.5 million FEWER voters that the Senators who voted against her. Republicans have been the minority party for years, winning the House with consistently fewer votes than Democrats. Trump lost the popular vote.

The packing of the courts will be undone. There won't be enough Republicans left to stop them after this election.

Another totally ignorant idiotic post from the left. You guys are on a roll.

So point out the part you think is wrong dumb ass.
Tell us how many US Presidents have been elected officially by the popular vote. Go ahead.

Since 1864, all but 5 have won the popular vote.

Gore and Hillary and Gore both lost the popular vote. The majority voted "no" to them.

What difference does it make though? We use the EV
