If by students you mean, should we drop 5 children with 5 different languages into a class room for a teacher to try to get through to? While the other children in class hang out? They should be homeschooled in English before they enroll in English speaking schools. Otherwise, everyone's education suffers...

Then deal with the effects. Any time other than math class. And let the results of dealing with the issue follow the students into school. How much time are you going to spend, in class, explaining to a 10-year-old Afghani what a preposition is? How much time away from the other students will that take?

As if our education system wasn't bad enough, teachers are throwing work at our children, and then spending the majority of the day trying to get through to illegal's children who speak a variety of different languages, except for English.
