Perhaps… but they don’t even need to side with Dems. All that’s needed is a moderate Republican to throw their hat in the ring and rally a small amount of support within their conference. At that point the Dems can pull a fast one and give that person their votes and he/she is the new speaker. It would be a baller move that leaves Gaetz and Jordan with their thumbs stuck up their butts
Actually a nomination for speaker only needs a majority of members. Traditionally dismiss the majority party would pick the speaker. But if the democrats can make a deal with some of the moderate republicans, With everyone involved being a majority of the membership, Then they can nominate someone.

His politics was way to the left of the left. He was a good orator however he was not very knowledgeable of the mechanics of his views and what happened as President. Romney exposed him in their first debate. Then Romney threw the second debate like a gambler owing loan sharks.
If they wanted to do that they could have done it with McCarthy.

Geatz's stunt wasn't well thought out but McCarthy has had this coming... he was a terrible minority leader and Pelosi dragged him around by his nose for years.... RINO's think its a win if they can fund raise and that mentality is growing old with the voters... McConnell is next to be ushered into retirement....
