Darn, I was hoping for Hulk Hogan.
Close enough, I guess.

I suspect there is a lot of meaningless function in the DOE. That can go NOW. Anything the states need...they should be prepared...given time to transition.....then WHACK.The first cut has to be pretty big. I mean as big as fuck. So that the next huge slice is eliminated and people might say, “well by golly; we can live without 40% of the DEPT OF EDUCATION!”
Incremental should not mean “so unobtrusive as to be meaningless.”
You are so funny in your ignorance.Your ongoing delusions of adequacy to the side, let us discuss.
Here are some cool facts.
The President is obligated to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.
So, he can unquestionably make a determination that the Dept of Education itself is unconstitutional.
It’s absurd to believe that the libs and Democratics would just roll over. So, there is zero doubt that it would end up in court.
There, the new AG would be the one required to defend the President’s action.
The case would swiftly end up in the SCOTUS.
It will be around until Congress decides to do it.![]()

This latest Trump selection seems pretty strange — until one realizes
that the U.S. Department of “Education” won’t be around very long once Trump is inaugurated.

Or — and hear me out on this — the Trump Administration could just invoke the oath to protect the Constitution and declare that he was disbanding the Dept of Education.
Then? Some public interest lib group sues the government to void Trump’s move.
AG Gaetz has the job of defending the Administration. And it’s in front of a conservative Supreme Court ….
Hmmmm. I should be a presidential advisor!![]()
I am sure you think Congress will play along.![]()

Linda is very good at firing people, so she will be great at the job.
Here is Linda in action at WWE firing Jim Ross, with the traditional kick in the crotch (4:45).
As long as that is the plan, I'll be good with it. If this is just part of a game of three card monte, not so much. They need SOMEBODY there to turn out the lights.
Again, while I agree that it may be beneficial to phase out the elimination of the federal DEPT OF EDUCATION, it cannot be done in such tiny steps as to basically just give it a close shave and a haircut.I suspect there is a lot of meaningless function in the DOE. That can go NOW. Anything the states need...they should be prepared...given time to transition.....then WHACK.
The solicitor general isn’t the AG. Arguing the case before the SCOTUS is not the point and never was. (And, by the way, you self important asshole, you’re also wrong. An AG is certainly allowed to grant himself the task of making the oral arguments to the SCOTUS. RFK did it as AG, for instance.)You are so funny in your ignorance.
NONE of what you posted is remotely true. In fact, the Solicitor General argues cases before SCOTUS. The one thing you did get close on is that such action would wind up before SCOTUS where it would be laughed out of court 9-0.
If the qualifications of Trump's other nominees are indicative, his Secretary of Education probably didn't graduate kindergarten.![]()

Maybe. Or maybe not.It will be around until Congress decides to do it.
The DOE was created in 1979. The following year, Ronald Reagan promised to kill it in the cradle...![]()

Insurrectionist Donald Trump protecting the Constitution!Or — and hear me out on this — the Trump Administration could just invoke the oath to protect the Constitution and declare that he was disbanding the Dept of Education.
The briefs filed for the United States are under the name of the AG.The US Solicitor General represents the administration at SCOTUS, and they need to be way more experienced than Gaetz.
