Why not just quietly stake out the sniper nest and see who shows up to use it?

They probably did and no one showed up.

Who knows how long it's been there. Could have been setup by the same golf-course sniper.

It could just be a hunting stand. But, it's good they found it.

theres no hunting allowed near an airport for obvious reasons .. and if you look at maps of the airport on maps you will see there are no large stands of trees nearby .. the stand was found in a small patch of trees .. not a forest ..
