I am sorry, but it was already past the time she let the poor animal go. I absolutely love animals, and it is already bothering me that my 10 year old German Shepherd is already showing signs that she will not me with me for more than a year or two more. As is common in her breed, her rear hips are going out. And when it gets to the point she is no longer mobile on her own, the most humane thing I can do for her is to let her go. No matter how painful that will be for me. My wife and I had to do the same thing for our Belgian Shepherd 12 years ago because of that and spreading tumors.
