Cities will save lots of money because we currently have a nationwide shortage in the law enforcement field. A shortage in that area will cost cities a lot more as they fail to protect.

Portland and Seattle still have some riots and protests this year but not many, pretty quiet compared to the previous year.

Portland and Seattle do have issues with crime the bigger issue is the city doesn't back the police, they often want the police to stand down, that is frustrating for law enforcement. The bigger issue is if Seattle officers don't vaccinate, there will be a greater shortage of officers than they already see and law enforcement is not a field that many of today's work force want to enter.
