Seahawks Go To AZ

I hear it's gonna be a hot one.........a real scorcher in Az. this weekend........possibly 110 degrees...........:lmao:.

Two things I find funny about his comment...One: it was 38 degrees this morning and a high of 56 predicted this afternoon. And two: the frigging game is played indoors.

Well maybe it's not the heat...it's the humidity!!! Din't you ever think about THAT!!!???

I predict the Cards will cruise to an easy victory at home. Here's why:

The Cardinals are 6-1 at home, on a 9 game winning streak, and will playing this one out since they have a shot at the #1 seed. (Should the Buccaneers somehow beat the Panthers...which is not out of the question!).

The 4-3 on the road Seahawks literally have nothing to play for. If they lose they are the number 6 seed, if they win they are number 5. Either way they are facing a road game against either the Packers, Vikings, or Redskins. I think they may decide to rest players knowing they are playing next week, especially if they fall behind early.

The game of the week is Packers versus Vikings.....

This should be a very good game. Arizona has the edge because they have been very consistent. Seattle can certainly win but they are up and down so who knows which team will show up.

Carroll swears he will play to win... Ya sure... But with WHAT lineup? Every guy that can put on a set of pads has a boo boo. Pete can hold out anybody he wants with the excuse that they have some kinda hangnail or bad hair.

Looks like Lynch will not play and our "run by committee" has run it's course. If Okung is still out we could easily fall back into the Center, Lewis, going all "Rainman" on us again.

Fortunately we have no pressure to win on Sunday...5th seed...6th seed...not much difference..in fact a 6th seed against GB might be the path of least resistance the way they have been playing lately and we DO know the Packers.

As long as Wilson doesn't try to put the team on his back for this game and get squished trying desperately to save a 3rd and 30 or throw the ball in such a way that Baldwin or Kearse gets creamed I am starting to not give a poop if we win this one or not.

Let's let the PLAYOFFS be the playoffs and STFU about how every game is a championship opportunity ...at least for week 17.

The difference between getting the 5th or the 6th spot, is.....Seattle loses to Arizona they would play the winner of the Packer/Vikings game in the first round of the playoffs. But if Seattle happened to beat Arizona and Green Bay wins, Seattle would be tied record wise with the Vikings but would hold the higher spot because of Seattle win against the Vikings. So Seattle would play Washington. Slim but still a possibly.
If Minnesota beats Green Bay it doesn't matter if Seattle wins or not in Arizona. Seattle would play Minnesota because the Packers and Seattle would be tied even if Seattle beat Arizona and the Packers would hold the 5th wildcard because of their win over Seattle.
So it comes down to who Seattle would want to play....Minnesota or Washington....or Green Bay where the temperatures will be most likely in the low 20's to low teens.
That wasn't so bad was it.

Humidity problems in the Arizona desert? That is almost as funny as B kidd post.

So what does that mean? I get the polite snicker not the hearty belly laugh? Looks like the difference of outcomes Seattle faces this weekend for the next.

What does it mean? It means I doubt you have ever left your couch and/or have ever been to Arizona.

Somebody woke up a little cranky. Is THAT any way to start the new year?

I was there in 55 or 56. Has the Grand Canyon changed much since then? Have I missed anything?

I'm not much of a couch person. You don't need one to share space for sex. That's what the kitchen table is for.

If the O-Line can function without Okung and if our Center can snap the ball TO the QB we will probably be OK.

We lost to the Cardinals on a 50 plus yards scamper at the end of the Seattle match up when the great Cam Chancellor failed to seal at the LOS and Ellington ran right around him. Up til that point in the 4th qtr we were tied.

The Hawks don't seem to play any worse on the road. Wilson claims he likes it. It's probably the only time he can have sex any more.

Most of the know it alls on the tube are saying that the Cardinals are the best team in the NFL.

Good! Then this game should be a fair gauge of how the Hawks are doing.

I'm curious how our offense stacks up against "the best team in the NFL" if our O-Line plays like they did in the 5 weeks previous to the game with the Rams.

I think Carroll will play this one to win. A victory would do more for the Hawks going in to the playoffs than anything. A Cardinal loss would sew the seeds of doubt. That would be a good thing.

Most the know it alls in Seattle claim the Hawks are by far the best. So who do you believe? :dunno:

I believe mostly in stats. The proof is how it was played out on the field. Right now AZ having beaten the Hawks in Seattle would make them the better team. If the Seahawks beat the Cardinals tomorrow then the argument becomes more interesting. If the Hawks lose then obviously, clearly the Cards are the better team. Now...If somehow the Seahawks make it back to the SB then they are the best team in the NFC. It's complicated...it's simple. Winners win...losers suck hind tit.

It appears that the Seahawks have no trouble playing on the road as the season comes to a close and the playoffs loom ahead.

The score was 36-6. Palmer only threw one Int. He also threw for one TD. Palmer did not play in the second half when the score was 30-6. Wilson was benched at the start of the 4th qtr.

Needless to say on THIS day the Seahawks were a much better team.

The difference between this game and last week's was the absence of stupid mistakes in the O-Lines performance.

The score could have easily been 40-6 as our place kicker missed an extra point and a very make able FG.

One could say it was a blow out...but really it was more of an ass kicking which is difficult to pull off in AZ's stadium.

I think the Seahawks are tuned up now for the play offs.

Lynch is supposed to show up in Seattle tomorrow for practice. That should help the run game for the Seahawks going forward into the second season. Christine Michael only ran for 102 yards today as the most productive aspect of the committee of RBs.

More importantly Wilson out played Palmer. Russell threw for around 200 yards but scored three TDs with no interceptions in three qtrs. Palmer was over 300 yards in one half but only threw one TD and an interception. 300 yards is impressive in only a half. With all that yardage the single TD was disappointing.

If the Cards and Hawks meet again in the playoffs it will be in AZ. Arizona will HAVE to come with more intensity than they displayed today or I am afraid the outcome will be similar.

What? Palmer was less then 50% passing at 12-25 and 129 yards. Where did you get the over 300 yards total at? Palmer and Stanton only had 205 yards total together.

I pulled it outta my ass. Thanks for asking. 205? Huh? WOW that sucks!

15th post
As far as what team is better I will toss this stat up for grabs. The Seahawks haven't been blown out for a very long time. We haven't lost a game by more than 10-11 points in 4-5 seasons.

Winning away from home is hard. Blowing out an opponent in their stadium is next to impossible especially when the reason has little to do with fumbles and other serious mistakes. This is ridiculously hard to do against division opponents and ones with the Cardinal's record. I can't remember it having been done before.

We made a series of ridiculous mistakes against the Rams mostly in the first half. They were all unforced errors. Any team can have a bad game riddled by stupid mistakes. The game yesterday afternoon was not one of those games on the part of AZ. They just got their asses handed to them in all phases of the game. Balancing the first meeting in week ten and yesterday I would have to say that the Seahawks are a better team than the Cardinals.

Well I have to admit it now Huggy.I said your hawks would impress me if they beat the cardinals and they didnt just beat them, they demoralized them.

I was watching the chargers/broncos game and they talked about how the seahawks can play with anybody.well they got me convinced.I said the cards would be the NFC team in the superbowl but they had everything to play for and they played all their starters and yet they got killed at home no less.

The fact the seahawks can indeed play with anybody and they beat what i considered the best team in the NFC and my superbowl pick AND scored tons of points against a great defense, they indeed could very well win the superbowl again.

they look like they can play with the best of them.i thought the score would be like this except i saw it being the other way around.

if they do indeed go on to the superbowl again this year they will for sure have done it in a more impressive fashion than last year even the fact they are going in as a wild card.

you wont hear it from me of course because i know better but i am sure you will hear the usual from the naysayers say-they wont be at home and cant win on the road, you just KNOW thats coming.

still will never watch the superbowl again since the NFL is so corrupt but YOU are in for a fun time it looks like though.

got to admit i am impressed they beat the ST LOUIS CARDINALS.

Don't get your Burro ahead of your Donkey Cart. That game meant nothing.

Yes the Hawks exposed the Cardinals weaknesses in a way that no other team had done so this season. It means NOTHING! It was just a shot across the bow.

Over at the Cardinals dot com message board they are all slicing their wrists. They want to burn their kicker at the stake! That's some funny poop. Memo to Cardinal's fans: "Your kicker could never have saved you in a 36-6 blow out."
