I guess it was alright to do that in 2017. And, they expected the other side to negotiate. Finally, a deal was reached. So, what's wrong with Republicans following the Democratic playbook? Why are democrats claiming that you can't use the debt ceiling to negotiate spending when they just did it themselves a few years ago?
And, most importantly, why are democrats totally unwilling to even talk about spending cuts while our national debt soars over 31 TRILLION dollars? They absolutely refuse to cut any spending at all while painting Republicans as being the ones who can't control spending. They keep on asking Republicans for their plan on how to cut spending while refusing to even talk about cutting spending themselves. What's their plan to cut spending? They have none. Their plan is to not cut spending at all and just up the debt ceiling whenever we need to.
