You do that by reaching across the aisle and compromising with the opposing party to build consensus so things get done. Republicans have forgotten that. So yeah, basically your government is shut down because Mike Johnson's priority is to cover up for Donald Trump and the other pedophiles in the Epstein file.
He is really between a rock and a hard place now because for any of these four Republicans changing their vote now on this discharge petition will be an automatic career ender. The only recourse for Johnson and these other Republicans in this Epstein issue is going to be abandoning Trump like rats off a sinking ship in order to save themselves.
