You see these people like Kitboga and Scammer Payback who intentionally engage with call scammers. Much of it is very entertaining to watch and very funny, but, how much of it is real?

These scam baiters will call these scammers and try to waste their time, and in some cases, reverse hack into their computers and delete files and such. Now, on the surface, it seems like it's all on the level, except for when they claim they keep the scammers tied up for 4 or 5 hours, there's even some videos that say they had scammers tied up for 15 hours. To me that just doesn't seem realistic. After a certain amount of time, the scammer would figure out what is going on, or, just end the call after they realize they are not getting anything from the victim.

on one hand, I'd hope it was real because it makes the videos even funnier, but I can't help but wonder if the people in these videos are just actors and they are going off a script.

Thoughts?

I have come to the conclusion that damn near everything you see on the internet was faked some how.

Think about it this way. Why would anyone stay on the phone for hours to waste someone else's time? You can't do that without wasting your own time right?

Right, but, I'm looking at it from the scammers perspective. After the first hour, you would know you are getting the run around. Thats why I question it.

But you do raise a good point. If the bait was aired live on twitch, it would be hard to understand how they could do that, but if it was only a YouTube video, that can be edited.
