There have always been parallel tracks in the Republican brand of conservatism, tracks that are largely incompatible. On the one hand you have the folks who want Constitutionally limited government, individual liberty, private property, etc ... and on the other are the "social conservatives", many of whom are happy to use big government to force their social preferences on others. It's not an exact mapping, but think "libertarians" vs "religious-right".

At this point, the social conservatives have largely won out, and Republicans have joined Democrats in their zeal for big government and social engineering - aka the "culture war".

Per your own numbers there are approx. 12 elected conservatives

1st step is to win the hearts and minds of Republican voters.

Part of what is funny is that you don't understand the Buckley Standard, because it doesn't require "the most right-leaning viable candidate" to be either a Republican or a Modern Conservative.

And it damn sure does not mean that because you have not provided a more viable candidate in your district, whether Republican, Modern Conservative, or whatever, that anyone should be listening to you for advice on how to do that, because you are failing to do so.

Maybe it is time that you stop doing the same silly shit and try doing something better that might provide better results.

But as the OP suggested, the law passed requires the release, complying with the law rests on President Trump's administration, and there is really no way around that.

I understand the concerns people have about protecting the innocent, but it is not going to make it go away.
The morbid fascination some people have with salacious garbage and tabloid politics, will only make things worse if they continue to stall in regard to satisfying the law.
