Community to tell Greenville cops Why We Run

Local black leaders are hosting a summit called "Why We Run" to explain to cops and the public....why their community runs and resists law enforcement. See....we just dont understand them. Its not because of a warrant. Or drugs. Or jail time. Although those may be present. Its just....well...cultural. You and I wouldnt understand.

One heroic speaker is Radrecus Young. He fled in a car from the Highway Patrol. He escaped.......but....the cop car wrecked with another vehicle and killed the person. If only we had better understanding of why poor little Radrecus was running.


The CEO of this group said...."I dont know" what I would do if pulled over by cops. Maybe run...maybe not. (Umm...hey asshole...how about not run).


So folks....if you want some enlightenment and some true cultural education. ...attend. You'll hear from the mother of another black male who ran...and wrecked his car...and he died. But...she'll explain why he was a runner.

We've had it wrong all along. They dont run and resist because of crimes and warrants. We just...need to compromise and be sympathetic to it. Heck....maybe even advocate that they be allowed to run....free of consequences.

It's been the common denominator of most of these shootings.
