She should be concentrating on being a good mom. Her son was recently arrested for beating his wife almost to death.
He was old enough to be responsible for his own actions. You can only raise a person to the age of 18 and out of jail. The rest is up to the kid. Not the Mother or Fathers responsibility.
Dunno how your family was taught, but in my family, the actions of all of us reflected back on the entire family, good or bad. My Grandparents told me that my behavior (even as an adult) reflected back on them and how they raised me.
Maybe that is why they were so proud when I joined the Navy and made it a career.
Politics aside, thank you for your service and know that many Americans really appreciate it.
If you really wanna thank a veteran, then vote. I don't care who you vote for, but I do care that you vote. My 20 years was spent in service to this country and it's founding document...................the US Constitution.
And, fwiw................I'm retired Navy and it doesn't make me feel disrespected if an NFL player takes a knee during the anthem. Why? Because of my oath of enlistment which says I will support and defend the Constitution of the USA, against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That also means that I support and defend everything in that document, including free speech, peaceful protest, and the right to bear arms. While I may not agree with what you have to say, I will defend to the death your right to say it. Kaepernick feeling secure enough in his rights guaranteed under the Constitution to take a knee means that document is still in effect, and my service wasn't in vain.
