A bipartisan ethics report concludes there is ā€œsubstantial evidenceā€ that George Santos violated federal criminal laws, which will almost certainly trigger another attempt to expel him from the House.

The explosive report released Thursday by the House Ethics Committee found that Santos spent campaign funds on Botox treatments and lavish Atlantic City trips with his husband. It also details the New York Republicanā€™s efforts to obscure his money trail, as he sought to build a ā€œfictionalā€ financial narrative on official records, according to the 55-page report.

ā€œAt nearly every opportunity, he placed his desire for private gain above his duty to uphold the Constitution, federal law, and ethical principles,ā€ the report reads. ā€œSantos sought to fraudulently exploit every aspect of his House candidacy for his own personal financial profit.ā€

But of course!

Never trust homosexuals.

Glad to see lefties coming to that realization.

Repubs likely won't expell him.

They protect their crossdressers very well.

Santos isn't under scrutiny for his sexual orientation; it's because he broke laws.

I suspect the only reason Repubs have not got behind his dismissal is because he is a gay crossdresser. Maybe they think he would make a good Catholic clergyman?

Regardless, after ignoring DeSantis and his groomer history, I am not surprised trumpers have been trying to protect Santos.

The Trump party is a bunch of sickos.

Santos was elected to Congress from a blue district. ReNaziKlans have a very narrow majority. Expelling him means whomever is elected (to complete the current term) would in all likekelyhood be a Democrat.

Santos is doing one thing right, he ain't running for reelection. But then again he will probably be an Oranged Jumpsuit.

George Santos said he wonā€™t seek reelection in 2024. House Republicans may boot the indicted New Yorker well before then.

His announcement on social media Thursday immediately followed a scathing House Ethics Committee report that found ā€œsubstantial evidenceā€ of criminal wrongdoing and fresh vows from fellow GOP members to forcibly remove him from his seat. Those calls have now widened, expanding beyond the original circle of ardent intraparty critics.

Some House Republicans already think they may be able to reach the two-thirds threshold for his removal, despite concerns over narrowing their already thin House majority. Santos revealed his plans in a lengthy post on X, formerly known as Twitter, clarifying that he also has no plans to resign ā€” for now.
