You're probably just young. With the exception of very few, both Democrats and Republicans are Big Government Authoritarians. They want Government controlling every aspect of Citizens' lives. It's all about forcing their agendas on others.

They don't respect Constitutional Rights. They defend some rights, but only if they feel it helps force their agendas on folks. They're not true Liberals. A real Liberal would defend all Constitutional Rights. It's not just a matter of convenience for them. It all gets back to Big Government domination for both Democrats and Republicans. They rule by intimidation and force. Your rights matter very little to them.

I have NEVER met anyone who identified as Libertarian who supported democrats. I've been in the party since 1988. Republican, yes - Tea Party, absolutely. Democrat? Not even one.

Again, labels mean nothing without explaining what is is you want to achieve. Not wanting Big Government. What does that mean? Does it mean you don't want the government to build Hospitals, schools , bridges, roads or set money aside for parks? Do you not want a military or police and fire protection? Do you not want the government involved to make sure the water you drink and the food you eat is safe for consumption?

Again spouting off slogans like not wanting Big Government are so vague and meaningless.
