Hard to say, but I will say this, Kamala Harris is considerably ahead of everyone else, including Newsom, in the polls. But, she's generally quiet and doesn't say much, probably due to her knowledge that she constantly uses word salads.

At the time, sex with animals was already illegal under Louisiana’s older “crimes against nature” statute. The bill aimed to create a separate, stand-alone law specifically criminalizing sexual abuse of animals and setting clearer penalties.





Some conservative lawmakers said they opposed the bill because it also disentangled the bestiality language from the state’s old sodomy law. A few argued they feared it could weaken or symbolically repeal anti-sodomy provisions still on the books, even though those laws had already been ruled unenforceable by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2003.
