Sanders and AOC are one powerful wing of the progressive movement and Mandani's performance in NYC will be a litmus test for them.

But the guys I see coming through are the Andy Bashear, Josh Sharpie, Jon Ossify, Mark Kelly... Talarico is among this ilk... They seem to be very competent, moderate and popular in conservative areas...

My guess is that Andy Bashear is the one to watch... He is a GOP nightmare to contest against...

Cities like New York need top class public services to run... You can't have a Mayor in New York who says Government doesn't work and we all need to do ourselves...
How do you get to work in the morning... Manhattan can't take everyone coming in by car, the Subway has to running and yes, that cost a lot of money but ask any New Yorker, it is worth it... Public Transport needs $3bn a year from the City...

Mamdani actually understands that NYC needs these services to survive and needs these service to be enhanced to thrive... He sees the investment that other international cities are putting in and knows that NYC is an international city who is compared to London, Paris, Tokyo, Bejing.... These cities need services to be well funded and run right...
