dorfak mountains in the north of Iran. the only place in the world that you can see sun rise and sun set over the sea on a mountain. it's even mentioned in the epic of gilgamesh.

Perham, perhaps you want to rephrase that. When I lived in Samoa in 1951 - 1953, I could see Sunrise and Sunset "over the sea" from a mountain on the island. The same could be said for most any mountainous island in any ocean or sea.

it's a 2700+ meter mountain. I don't know any island mountains in the world with that height that you can see sun over the sea from top of it.
