Russia is continuing to suffer high-profile military losses, with a GRU military intelligence spy the latest killed in Putin's stalling invasion of Ukraine.
The Kremlin has so far seen the loss of 12 commanders including three key generals, and military experts have slammed their bizarre tactics.
Captain Alexey Glushchak, 31, from Tyumen in Siberia, is the latest major casualty after he was killed in the carnage in Mariupol, but the Russians have given no details of how he was killed.

The Ukraine may fall to the Russian hordes but the price to Russia will be high..
If you step back you can see that Ukrainians are succeeding in destroying as many Russian troops and equipment, while Russians are doing equally as well at killing women and children, and old people, doctors, nurses and journalists.

The Ukrainians were smart.. They got as many civilians out as possible. Every death is deplorable but they limited the civilians the best they could. This means the fighters left behind are not worrying to much about their families and can concentrate on the fight. This is why Russia is killing people leaving and not allowing them to leave. This is going to be a major miscalculation on Putin's part. this has enraged the fighters and solidified their resolve.

Watch as they take out the artillery batteries. Many of the foreign fighters use gorilla warfare and know how to decapitate the Russin military.

This is going to be a protracted and costly war for the Russians.

First of all, there is no such organisation as GRU in Russia. It is GU GSh now. Second - even colonels are pawns there, not "seniors" anyway.
And no, it were Ukrainian nationalists and officials who didn't allow local civilians leave Mariupol. Now Russian forces captured outskirts of Mariupol and started evacuation and "filtration".

Russians have a long history of purging Generals who disappoint.

Wouldn't shock me a bit to learn that these guys were offed internally.

Putin has already sent kill teams to assassinate Zelensky and failed. He has however, assassinated mayors in some of the towns he's "Liberated" and installed puppets.
Something similar to the way Progressive Maoist/DSA Democrats used the 2020 election to install a puppet in the W.H. and district Attorneys through the Blue Plantation states to encourage higher crime rates by releasing criminals.

The Ukrainian command confirmed the death of the Mi-24 pilot Alexander Marinyak in early March. On March 8, a helicopter of Ukrainian Lieutenant Colonel Marinyak was shot down near Kiev during a combat sortie. The crew was killed. A widely distributed video that was previously presented as the destruction of a Russian helicopter.
