remember the Iran Contra operation with Oliver North?

Yeah, I was a wee little lad when that was going on, but I did study it in my late 20s. I think Oliver North went behind Reagan's back to help the Contras. Here, though, there is not an explicit command by Congress not to aid Ukraine, as we are actively supplying them with weapons and (perhaps) intel.

Ukraine had been planning this for well over a year though, so people from both admins may have been coordinating it.

This is not good news, people. When are these two idiots, Zelensky and Putin, going to say that enough is enough?

My view, finish off Russia in Ukraine... Cut the Russian forces at Mariupol and take Crimea and South Ukraine... Fight Russia back to about 2/5s of Donbass... Then have land swaps to get Ukraines on west side and Russians on east side...

Russia will still live under sanctions until they pay reparations for the war...

With Western help this could be done in a year.

Ukraine joins EU and NATO... Next Georgia they will be accepted into EU & NATO and Russia can suck their thumb... Do it now while Russia is weak... Macedonia to EU as well...

EU & US to have discussions about the future of EU defence... If US want to become more remove their presence then fair and EU will take up the slack... But we can't have this on and off arrangement every change of a President.. It used to be US Presidents used to honour US word, where has that gone...
