Rooftop solar electric panels only use the light from the sun, the heat is wasted. If a glazed frame is put around the panels the heat can also be collected by an air system. Pretty smart, eh? :)

Sounds expensive though. I kinda doubt the amount of the heat you get when you need it the most (night time) will be all that much. The sun goes down and the glazed frame cools down and then you got no more warm air.

You take what you can get, it's just cheap supplemental heat, and it could easily be used to heat water in the summer when space heating isn't needed. The system needn't be very expensive either.
