Ronnie says Negro! No one cares!

Wait...you agreed that the boy comment was racist. And IIRC, you said Hillary was racist because she said people wouldn't vote for a black man.

:eusa_whistle:

Nope...Hillary not a racist...simply racially insensitive.
You do realize that if a worker in an office says something that is true but considered racially insensitive, the employer has grounds for immediate dismissal?

Just sayin'
What the hell is racially insensitive? I don't think she was...and even though mani now denies it he did at the time.

Such inconsistent posters. :doubt:

There are no grounds for immediate dismissal even for being racist...unless you are abusing your authority.

Saying people will not vote for a black man is racially insensitive to all voters. It ius implying that people will apply race to decision making...and true or not it is racially insensitive.

Curious....please offer me an example of racial insensitivity if what Reid or Hillary said was not racially insensitive.

"Black people are ugly" or "White people are ugly" or "Asian people are ugly"

So you are of the mind that Reid needs to be more PC?

That is not being racially insensitive...that is being a racist. Making a generalization of a race that is not true...but just an opinion.

Racially insensitive is saying something that is true, but considered politically incorrect.

Being insensitive to someones situation is like saying out loud that the fat person in the corener is fat.

It is True, but insensitive to artricualte aloud.

So again, if what Reid said was not racially insensitive, please offer me an example of racial insensitivity.

It's a brand new term, I have no idea what it means. By your definition, it means politically incorrect.

Why would someone have to step down for being politically incorrect???

I swear nothing exposes the hypocrisy of partisan hacks more than these stupid, meaningless episodes of political incorrectness. Of course this was neither racist nor any big deal, and only offensive to hyper-sensitive twats. But but but....

I do so enjoy seeing the same people who lost their shit over Obama being called a boy doing a complete 180 on this one.

And vice-versa.

Its funny manifold I 100% agree with this post but from the total opposite side.

What you find meaningless I find meaningful....but yet it does expose people as you claim.

I didn't find the "getting us coffee" comment racist at all...i thought it was more of a "he was just a junior senator (IE the coffe guy/new guy/noob) and now he is president".

Reid's comments, to me, signaled that he thinks that all voting americans are too racist to vote for a certain type of person. I am a voting american so I took that personally. I found it racist in nature but not racist against just black people, racist towards all voters (racist may be the wrong adjective, how about prejudiced).

The Ronnie "negro" comment didn't seem like it was meant in a derogatory way so I give him a pass. Reids comments appeared to be denegrating to all voters so I didn't give hime a pass.

However reid apologized so as far as i'm concerned this isn't an issue anymore

Raciually insensitive is not a new term. It is commonplace in the work environment and used frequently when considering termination of employment.

I did not know you were so naive.

So debate over seeing as you can not completely and accurately respond.

And exactly where did I say he should step down?

All I am saying is that he should recognize and admit that he was very racially insensitive to all white, middle eatern and asian voters...and some black voters as well.

Instead, he offered an apology to Obama and Sharpton...and before he said he was sorry to the amewrican people for the poor choice of words, he said his apology was accepted by Obama and Sharpton and so the book is closed (not those exact words).

One will err again if he does not recognize a mistake when he makes it.

He needs to realize he said NOTHING wrong regarding Obama....he insulted the American voter....yet he was pleased that Obama accepted his apology.

Seems he and Obama are clueless as to what he did wrong....or Obama would have said "you do not owe me an apology"...and he would have suggested Reid make it clear to the people that it was not a poor choice of words...instead it was inappropriayte to say anything of the kind....true or not.

Would you like a tissue? I'm not feeling insulted so I have a box to spare.

gosh, it was being discussed on every 24/7 channel during the election....

was obama ''black enough'' for blacks to full fledge support him...?

would kentucky whites support this black man...?

etc etc etc....

just seems very silly that repubicans/conservative want to spend valuable time on this piddly doo!

One thing when media does it...another when our law makers do it.

I ask again....where was YOUR "no big deal a month ago with the Rush Limbaugh and Donovan McNabb issue?

Off that week?

Wasn't that like 4 or 5 YEARS ago?

this statement seems to make the presumption that all American election results are UNANIMOUS. That is patently idiotic. ALL voting Americans don't think the same thing about ANY issue, let alone the issue of race.

Reid correctly observed that, for a portion of the electorate, Obama's lighter skin tone and articulate, non-ebonic dialect would allow them to feel more comfortable voting for him than if he were jet black and spoke like a gansta rapper.

your faux outrage and feigned indignance is silly. grow a set.

That is code for "I dont have anything to repond with that wont make me look less like a hypocrite than I already do, so instead I will insult my debate opposition."

Typical and expected.

And I am curious....where were YOU when the left was kicking and screaming a month or so ago about Rush buying the football franchise?

He said it years ago...it was used against him a month or so ago when it was reported that he was going to buy a team.
Pressure from the left resulted in the syndication lockinghim out.

Interesting how quickly we forget.

I voted for Obama.

If he talked like a gold-toothed ****** I certainly wouldn't have.

Sue me.

It shouldn't be but some people seem to thrive on feeling outraged.

exactly... and Harry Reid knew full well that there was a portion of the electorate that felt exactly like that.... and merely making that observation is NOT an indictment on ALL VOTING AMERICANS.
