Let's take a good look at who Obama really is.
"George Washington’s assets are estimated in today’s dollars at $525 million, Thomas Jefferson’s at $212 million, Theodore Roosevelt’s at $125 million, Andrew Jackson’s at $119 million, James Madison’s at $101 million, Lyndon Johnson’s at $98 million, Herbert Hoover’s at $75 million, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s at $60 million. John Fitzgerald Kennedy may not have earned his own fortune, but he inherited an estimated $1 billion. Some of these presidents were better than others; none has ever been called a “heinous capitalist.”
Say No To Socialism » Romney,
I have found something interesting in that article:
In such an environment, it is no wonder Senator Obama of 2008
described the undisputed leader of the free world as a “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” unable to provide medical care for the poor, rebuild her “crumbling schools,” or replace the “shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race.” Of course the senator pledged to change it by redistributing its wealth.
As you can see, the word "described" has a link in it to an article in the Times Online. However, the link does not work.
But I
dug it out of the Internet Archive, and there is nothing in that article which Pacepa claims is in there.
He is making shit up.
And when I search on "decaying, racist, capitalist realm" on Google, I find that Pacepa
said this in June:
The leaders of the Democratic Party painted the United States of America, the undisputed leader of the Free World, as a “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” unable to provide medical care for the poor, to rebuild her “crumbling schools,” to replace the “shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race,” and it pledged to “change” it by redistributing its wealth. Our media jumped in, and transformed the Democratic Party’s “change” into a nationwide tsunami.
Note how he does not attribute "decaying, racist, capitalist realm" to Obama. He attributes it to unnamed "leaders of the Democratic Party". And he uses the plural. Does anyone remember leaders of the Democratic Party calling America a “decaying, racist, capitalist realm”?
Anyone?
As much as I dislike Obama, I find it impossible to believe he would say such a thing during a campaign. Anyone with more than two critical thinking brain cells would realize that, too.
Instead of reading something which agrees with your bias and chugging it down in large gulps, stop and think once in a while, okay?
Pacepa is lying.
But let's look at the rest of the stuff he puts in quotes.
“shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race,”
I found that.
Here.
A campaign speech by Obama in 2008 in which he disavows Reverend Wright and conjures up the ghost of Frederick Douglass.
Read it. You won't find “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” anywhere in it.
In fact, I can't find “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” uttered by any Democrat anywhere.
Pacepa is guilty of making shit up. He is a propagandist.
