Rittenhouse ordered to stand trial

He was lucky....the joe biden voters have beaten and even murdered people when the joe biden voters were burning and looting cities.....

Um, except that the number of people killed in the unrest is less than 30. And a lot of those were killed by cops and right wing nuts.

heck, we are on track to have LESS cops shot in the line of duty this year than last year. (48 last year vs. 42 this year.) Despite all the unrest.

Now, for those playing along at home, the US has 39,000 gun deaths a year, including 14,5000 homicides. That works out to some 100 deaths a DAY. but DickTiny is upset about a very few people killed during riots. More than the 39,000 people killed in Gun Violence because the Founding Slave Rapists gave us guns. More than the 280,000 killed by TRUMP PLAGUE, because somehow, that's totally not Trump's fault.

Police officers aren't stupid, they know they are being targeted by the nation's ne'er-do-wells and are doing a better job of taking evasive action and sidestepping troublesome characters. In Kenosha, Baltimore, and elsewhere, they chose to stand down instead of confront and bust the heads of Rioters.

Kyle is a great American hero.

No, he was a scared kid with a gun. He's not a "hero"...

A lot of people are scared when they go into battle for the first time. Doesn't mean they aren't heroes.

Well, being a combat Vet, I agree with you.

But Rittenhouse wasn't going into battle. He wanted to play "Army"...

He successfully guarded a business from rioters and when separated from his group by the police, and attacked by a mob, defended himself, killing two of them and wounding a third.

That sounds like a battle to me.

As a society we need more of that.

Well, regardless how you see it, I believe that young man is going to end up on the shit end of the stick. Given the fact that he traveled from another State and took possession of an illegal firearm, he'll likely be charged as an adult.

I got ten bucks that says this kid is fucked...

IN a sane world, the fact that he was attacked by a violent mob, and was obviously in real danger to his life and limb, would outweigh any other considerations and he would never have even been charged.

That he is even being charged, is an example of how sick we are, as a society.

So, ten bucks? Yea? Nay?

What the hell do you want to bet on asshole?

Go look at the videos. They are posted all over the internet.

The clearest case of self defense ever.

Kyle is a political prisoner.

Stop gurgling on your husband's balls and pay attention.

I believe Kyle Rittenhouse will either plea out or be convicted of a crime.

I'm not saying that I think it's right that he's found guilty of a crime, but I am saying that I believe that's exactly what's going to happen.

It's like when the Jets play... well, anyone. I don't want them to lose, but I know they're going to. Ergo, I would bet on whoever they're playing because, right now, the Jets couldn't beat our local high school team.

So, ten bucks? Yea or nay?

Do you want this kid to go to jail for the rest of his life?

It's not a question of whether or not I want him to. What I "want" is of absolutely no consequence.

I'm saying that I believe the kid will go to jail for the rest of his life, or at least for a good portion of it...

There is Law and there is Justice.

Do you think it would be a good thing for this kid to go to jail for a good portion of his life?

A good portion of it?

No.

A portion of it? Yeah, I think I do. His act was deliberate, and he had to know he was breaking the law by taking possession of a firearm illegally, and crossing a state line to do it. This kid's lucky the FBI isn't handling this.

I'm a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment, but when gun rights types like me say "We don't need more laws, we just need to enforce the laws we have", then we'd damn well be willing to step up to the plate and insist that those existing laws are enforced.

You can't have it both ways...

There is no reason to assume that he "knew" he was breaking the law, by taking possession of the firearm.

Hell, I don't know that it was illegal of him to do it. I've seen people make a convincing case that it was not.

Hell, the cops saw him walking around with the rifle and no one said boo about it. DId the cops not know it was illegal?

Hell, again, there was a curfew in effect. That was not being enforced, because the police were ordered to let the mob roam teh streets.

Who knew what doesn't matter. Ignorance of the law is no excuse...

But really, especially when you are talking about very technical and complex laws, Justice really requires that it should be.

Really, you want to ruin a young man's life, a man that did nothing morally or ethnically wrong, because he was might have made a mistake about how to have a legal gun to in order to try to restore order to his society that was under attack by violent mobs?

And again, you seem to not be concerned about all the other laws being broken, by the mob, or by the local elected officials.

Rittenhouse has a Right to equal protection under the law. Holding him to the strict letter of the law, when NO ONE ELSE, in that area and time, were being held to that standard,

is a massive violation of his rights, and a massive injustice.

It is tyranny of the worst sort.

Looks like Kyle is going to stand trial for his alleged crimes:

Kyle Rittenhouse — the 17-year-old charged with killing two people during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after the shooting of Jacob Blake — will stand trial on charges of felony homicide and other crimes, a court commissioner ruled Thursday.
During a preliminary hearing at Kenosha County Circuit Court, which was held via video link, commissioner Loren Keating ruled that there was enough evidence to send Rittenhouse to trial over the Aug. 25 killings of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26.
Rittenhouse also faces charges of possession of a dangerous weapon while under the age of 18 and felony attempted homicide for injuring a third man, Gaige Grosskreutz.
Lawyers for Rittenhouse argued that the teen, who has been praised by right-wing commentators and viewed sympathetically by the Trump administration, had acted in self-defense when he opened fire.
But Keating said those arguments were issues for trial — not a preliminary hearing. The teen’s lawyers also asked Keating to dismiss two charges, including possession of a dangerous weapon, but the commissioner declined, saying that was also an issue for trial.

Rittenhouse, of Antioch, Illinois, was released on $2 million bond last month, money mostly raised by conservatives through a legal defense fund.

And in related news..the 19yo who posed as a straw buyer for Kyle's gun has been charged:

Charges have been filed against a 19-year-old man who prosecutors allege purchased and supplied the gun used by 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse in the fatal shootings of two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Dominick Black, of Kenosha, faces two felony counts of intentionally giving a dangerous weapon to a minor, causing death, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kenosha County Circuit Court. If he's found guilty, he faces up to 6 years in prison per count.

According to the criminal complaint, Black enlisted the help of Rittenhouse in guarding the Kenosha car dealership Car Source from property damage and looting. The complaint stated Black “volunteered to go out after curfew” and “asked Mr. Rittenhouse to join him.”

In interviews, the owner of Car Source has denied requesting help from either Black or Rittenhouse in protecting his dealership during the protests.

The straw buyer is as guilty because of knowing they bought a firearm for a minor...

You would rather that the kid had been unarmed when he was attacked by the mob? Would you prefer that he had been the one killed, and if so, why?

Had he not had a gun, he probably wouldn't have even been there. What's he gonna' do? Use harsh language?

He might still have been there with older members of his group, to provide first aid and clean up and other types of support.

And really from a moral and legal standpoint, he had EVERY right to be there.

So, if you want to land on the gun buyer, with the full force of the state, you are in effect stating that you are fine in theory with Rittenhouse being there, and being attacked by the mob and unable to defend himself.

I prefer him and his friend obeyed the laws and not obtain the firearm until he was legal age.

You do understand that Kyle had no right to have that firearm and it was illegally obtained through what is called a straw purchase.

Kyle may not be found guilty of the deaths but he is guilty of illegally owning a firearm and his friend is guilty of buying and giving Kyle the gun.

Also had Kyle not had the firearm would have been there?

You really love to exact and strict letter of the Law. But when we start talking about the real world effects, you start getting, vague and taking a step back from the reality of the impact.

A mob of thugs saw a young man, separated from his group by the police, forced to be alone in a warzone, and they choose to attack him, with the obvious intent of inflicting serious bodily harm, AT LEAST.

All you want to talk about is punishing the young man that defended himself and the young man that made it possible to defend himself.

YOu have zero passion for punishing that mob or the people that empowered the mob.

Even though the mob was breaking plenty of laws too, and indeed, I bet in a sane world, the officials that ordered the cops to stand down, could and should be charged with some sort of criminal malfeasance too.

Had he not had a gun, he probably wouldn't have even been there. What's he gonna' do? Use harsh language?
You know, he was not the only person with a gun involved. Btw, we was not a child-molester either. So stop being a self-righteous windbag.

And several posters on this very board have publicly called for Rump to PARDON this piece of shit.

So conservatives clamoring to defend homicidal maniacs now. We live in interesting times.

So you don't believe that children should have the right to defend themselves from groups of rioting Child Molesters?

Interesting thought there.

It will be interesting seeing the criminal rioters who are called in to testify getting grilled anyhow.
Recount the timeline. Rittenhouse shoots and kills two people. Then people assail and tackle Rittenhouse.

That's where you perception begins.
Not true.
Oh. Well. I guess as truth does not mesh gears with what you accept, that's all there is to it then.

The mob attacked Rittenhouse before he shot anyone. We have the video. What are you talking about?

I would have been surprised had he not been ordered to stand trial. He shot someone on tape.

Whether or not he is guilty is another issue.

He shot people who were chasing him and attacking him, on tape.

That he was charged, is evidence we are sick as a society.

There's a concept known as "escalation of force". Deadly force is the very last level of force which should be used. Unfortunately for Rittenhouse, it's the only level of force he used. That will end up being his undoing...
I’d say turning and running, 2 seperate times, is deescalating.
Should he have asked shoot me nigga manlet pedo for a time out in the chase, found some pepper spray, then given that a go?

You're ignorant.

The concept of escalation of force actually has nothing to do with de-escalating anything...
I’m not ignorant. I know what it means.
What other level of force did rittenhouse have available?
He had his fists, and his gun. And last I checked, the escalation of force, force pyramid, and those other principles apply to law enforcement.
Joe blow citizen is not required to match force levels with an aggressor. Because someone puts their dukes up doesn’t mean I’m constrained to dunking it out with them. This isn’t a sanctioned contest, I’m also not law enforcement. If someone wants to engage in a violent conflict with a person and give them chase, they should fully expect to get leveled. Rittenhouse could have fired a howitzer at pedo-manlet and it would have been fine.

AND it is worth noting, it was not a "pedo-manlet" that attacked Rittenhouse, but a violent mob, that did include a violent felon/pedo.

It's sad that a 17yo will be tried as an adult, and if justice is served he will be sentenced to life in prison w/o parole.

It's not sad when that 17 year old kid decides to take adult actions, cross state lines and take possession of an illegal firearm, and then kill someone.

If he believes he was right, let him proclaim that in court, and let him be judged...

You are really confused about this aren't you Moon Bat?

The young man is being charged with murder for political reasons for an act of self defense.

By the way, go read the Bill of rights. There are no age limitations on the right to keep and bear arms.

A child has the right to defend themself the same as an adult.

I'd run rings around you with regards to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights so, really, check yourself.

The fact of the matter is that both Wisconsin and Illinois prohibit the possession of the type of weapon he had. In his home state of Illinois, he would have to have an FOID (Firearm Owner's Identification Card). Rittenhouse doesn't have one. In Wisconsin, the transfer of a firearm to anyone under the age of 18 is illegal, and the possession of a firearm by anyone under the age of 18 is illegal, unless the minor is supervised by an adult while hunting or while undergoing a course of instruction.

There's no confusion here. There's no grey area

Ten bucks?

What does state law say about a mob beating someone to death?

What about an elected official ordering the police to stand down so that the mob can destroy and terrorize?

Hell, wasn't the mob in violation of a curfew?

Why do laws only apply to one side these days?

Those things don't matter in the case of Kyle Rittenhouse. It wasn't Rittenhouse's duty to enforce the curfew. In fact, if the mob was in violation of a curfew, so was Rittenhouse...

No one said he was trying to enforce the curfew. In fact, what he was trying to do was protect people and property from people who were already engaged in criminal activity, including violating the curfew.

Let me ask you something, Mr. I'm-a-combat-vet. If there was a similar violent riot in your city, or in a neighboring town, and someone you knew asked you to come help him protect his business from being destroyed, would you have gone?

An excellent fucking question.

INdeed, the idea of helping your neighbors in times of trouble, that sort of behavior is almost the definition of a healthy society.

And a society that PUNISHES such behavior?

On it's deathbed.

It's amazing how much vitriol you have to spew about "I would prefer they obey the law" when it comes to Kyle Rittenhouse, considering that I've never heard you say a word about "prefer they obey the law" when it comes to the rioters, let alone get your panties all wadded up your crack about them the way you do about Kyle. Your selective "outrage" on behalf of law and order is almost as astounding as it is hypocritical and hollow.

AND, it seems that unequal view is shared by the dem officials and legal system of Kenosha/Wisconsin,

cause they were happy to let the rioters break curfew and burn shit down and attack people.

Indeed, we see this behavior more and more from the left.

Unequal application of the law, is a violation of the Right to Equal Protection.

It is a massive injustice, and anyone imprisoned because of such, is literally a political prisoner.

Was this joker trying to give credibility to his opinion by claiming he was a combat vet?

LOL! Damn that boy is confused.

How much credibility does being a Vietnam Vet, a certified fire arms instructor and a certified range officer give my opinions on the Kyle issue?

Not much because none of those have a damn thing to do with the subject, huh?

Well, my opinion comes from being classified as "spoils of war" by the sort of violent primitives who were rioting and burning in Kenosha that night. And I would far rather live in a community where 17-year-olds feel the need to defend their neighbors than one where they feel virtuous in saying, "He provoked them by not hiding at home."

Any man who doesn't give consideration to which attitude makes the women around him feel safer isn't much of a man.

Had he not been armed, he wouldn't have been chased and there would have been no mob to "stand up" to.
And if that girl didn't wear a short skirt, she wouldn't have been raped.

Quit blaming the victim, scumbag.
The victims are dead.
2 perps are dead and another is missing a bicep.

The hero is alive because he exercised his right to bear arms. That's why the 2nd amendment is so necessary in a liberated society. Sometimes you have to wisely use violence against the mutant Troglodytes.

He only violated the law doing it, plus he killed people and it is not his home ground.

Not far away from his home. You not care at all about your fellow Americans if they live more than 20 minutes from your house? Or is it that you don't care about any of them?

The law is being used by dems to help the rioters terrorize communities and individuals, and to punish people that protect themselves or others.

And as I keep harping on, Unequal Enforcement of the Law, is a violation of the Right of Equal Protection.

You don't get to allow violent mobs to rule the streets, breaking laws by the hundreds, order the cops to help them, and then, if someone protects themselves in the anarchy that you have created,

come down on them with the full Power of the State and a strict reading of every letter of every law.

Well you can, but it is completely Unjust and a Tyranny and Oppression.

I believe what he would prefer is for people who don't agree with him politically to huddle in their houses, terrified, while his comrades roam the streets like the band of vicious, filthy savages that they are.

Is that what you believe then you are just not a moron but a fucking lunatic of a moron!

First off it is against the law to Straw Purchase for a minor or anyone that is not allow to own a firearm but you are ignorant on this fact and will excuse the friend for his illegal action.

It was illegal for Kyle to have that firearm but again you will ignore this and claim I am with the rioters while admitting what Kyle and his friend did with the purchase of the firearm will cost them...

Notice I have yet to really comment on his shooting because I could give a flying fuck those worthless fucks are dead!
Did the friend purchase the gun for Kyle, or did he loan out a gun he already owned to a friend. Big difference legally and easily proven unless the gun was purchased very shortly before the incident.

Very good point.

The charge is straw purchase which mean it was purchased for Kyle because he was underage to obtain the firearm legally.

Another poster did a thread on this defending the purchase, so the friend is in trouble for the straw purchase...

I don't if anyone has considered this angle...the friend--is facing some time..thus the DA has leverage...this friend is sure to testify at Kyle's trial...what he says can be vitally important to Kyle's case. If he testifies that Kyle was just aching to kill someone...bragged about wanting to do it...used any racial slurs in relation to wanting to kill, etc.---it would go straight to the DA's case...that Kyle set up the scenario that allowed him to legally murder.......that would be very bad for Kyle.

True or not...if this guy wants a get out of prison free card.....he probably can have one.

YOu suggesting that the Wisconsin Dem Officials are ginning up pressure to get him to lie to help railroad Rittehouse?

Racial slurs? Like he hates white people? Those kinds of Racial slurs?

The videos and the witness is really all they need and it will be a Kenosha jury. You remember the place getting burned and looted.

I hope a lot of attention is being placed on jury selection.

AND it really bothers me that the Illinois judge extradited him back to Wisconsin.

Non liberal judges have to stop pretending that liberal/dem officers of the Court, are not going to let politics lead them to commit injustice and oppression.

You have to understand how confused these hate filled Moon Bats are about things like this. They don't understand that the people of the United States have a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. They are as confused about the Constitution as they are confused about Economics, History, Climate Science, Ethics and Biology.

These Moon Bats think that having an AR-15 automatically makes someone a criminal.

In the case of Kyle they think that since he defended himself with an AR against an attack from Communists then he is guilty of horrendous crimes.

The reason the Communists attacked Kyle was because the kid had the audacuty to help put out a fire started by the Communists. They were going to kill him for that.

Thank god he had a weapon to defend himself or else the Communists would have killed him.

Kyle is a great American hero. God bless him.

I would love to have the cell phone records of the rioters. I suspect that they had a spotter who vectored the attackers in on Rittenhouse, when they saw the cops force him to be apart from his group.

If law enforcement was serious, hell if they was a serious country, the command structure of the mob in that place at that time would be the focus of the investigation. Especially any ties to local officials or to out of state money.

Know rioters should have their phones bugged, and monitored so that such crimes could be documented and they could serve real time for ACTUAL REAL CRIMES.
