Rino Sen. John Cornyn (TX) Has Been Primaried

Or left of our own accord. After 38 years, I left in 2013 when the RNC blew off the recommendations of their own Growth and Opportunity Project recommendations. I could no longer hold my nose to the increasing stench of racism within the party. Since the Clintonian corruption of the Democratic Party also stank, I joined the Libertarian Party. I've voted a straight LP ticket ever since.

FWIW, MAGA killed off the GOP...or, at a minimum, converted it from the Grand Ol' Party to Greed Old Pedophiles.

So you aren't involved on politics -
No big deal
No law says that you have to be.

In spite of commie leftist objections old-fashioned God Bless American patriotism is still a good thing.

Elected Republicans are still to the left of their voting base.

Movement to the right leads to a stronger party - the country is center right - the Democrats are making themselves irrelevant.
Now activist judges will decide everything. That is a frightening thought.

Ohhh...he didn't support this total shit bill!!! The horror!!

The votes aren't there
Maybe not right now, but perhaps after November, or a few years from now. Give it time, youngling.

Democrats Hope Texas Could Be Emerging Battleground

Democrats have long hoped that Texas, the largest Republican-leaning state, would become more competitive due to blue-shifting suburban areas around cities like Austin, Dallas and Houston. No Democrat has won a statewide race since 1994.

Talarico is a member of the Texas House of Representatives, where he has served since 2018. Prior to entering politics, Talarico worked as a middle school teacher and nonprofit director.

He was among the Texas Democrats who fled the state in 2025 to deny quorum in a bid to stop Republicans’ redistricting efforts aimed at creating more GOP-leaning congressional districts.

He defeated Representative Jasmine Crockett in the March primary.

Talarico told Newsweek in an interview in September 2025 that he doesn’t “see politics as left versus right,” but instead “as top versus bottom.”

BJ -
Clearly, he is a "bottom"

also, a racist to steal the position from the nice AA lady.

How well the Dem fares this fall in the Senate race for Texas shows how will the party is doing in red states.

And why aren't the votes there?

Because most Senate Republicans are smart enough to know it's a total shit bill that won't help them.

Agreed. As usual, the majority of Independents will be "the deciders".

The April 2026 University of Texas/Texas Politics Project Poll was the latest in a handful of surveys that included hypothetical two-party, head-to-head matchups between either John Cornyn or Ken Paxton as the the Republican candidate and Democrat James Talarico. In each matchup in the Texas Politics Project Poll, fielded April 10-20, Talarico led – by 7 points against Cornyn (40% to 33%) and by an indistinguishable 8 points against Paxton (42% to 34%).
