The explanation is quite simple. Australia was part of Gondwana in the Cretaceous but drifted away before placental mammals evolved.

Evolution has an explanation, it is the Bible that ignores it because the men that wrote it were ignorant of Australia.

Your link was very interesting, you should read it sometime. It explicitly says Noah's Flood did NOT wipe out everything: "When we consider the Bible, and the history of our world, a global flood becomes impossible to believe". It also contradicts you here:
