Resolving links

It used to be that when you posted a link to an article, the site software would resolve the link into the headline. It never does that any longer. Was that a change in the form website, or a change in the links?

Now it just shows you the link.

I think it depends on the permissions of the web site itself that you're linking.

For example...

I think it depends on the permissions of the web site itself that you're linking.

I've noticed this off and on too. Sometime ago a mod said the editor automatically would do that instead of using the link icon. Next time that happens, I'll try the link icon.

Here's a link for a web site that allows a preview of a linked article to display on third party web sites.

I get both, some just the link, others with the blurb intro box.

But now, I can't seem to post videos any more. Weird. I can only post a link to the site that has it now.

The way I would have inked that would have been to snip a little bit of the piece and then after that do it this way....

That achieves the same thing you're wanting to do, I think.

That's how I used to do it when I started threads but I haven't started threads on here in a very, very long time.

That's how I used to do it when I started threads but I haven't started threads on here in a very, very long time.

I do that when I'm posting from the computer because its fast and easy, but with the android tablet it's a bit more work than I want to go through.
