1. What you see in your local community cannot be extrapolated across the entire country. Its a fact that the United States is currently experiencing the highest unemployment rates since the 1930s. 14.7% in April, 13.3% in May, 11.1% in June. Each one of those months saw unemployment at levels not seen since the 1930s. Before April, 10.8% unemployment in December 1982 was the record high since the 1930s.
2. Blocking one country, China, in a pandemic accomplishes nothing. A pandemic does not care about national borders, it only cares about human hosts. An effective response to the pandemic would have been sealing the country off from the outside world like Taiwan did back in January. Trump did not do that, and simply blocked one country. He waited until the end of March to seal the country off, like Taiwan had done 2 months earlier. The Result, Taiwan has only 7 people dead, while the United States has lost 160,000 people. The United States has the 9th highest per capita infection rate in the world and the 10th highest per capita death rate in the world from covid-19. 1,462 Americans died on Friday, which is 50% of the peak high of daily deaths from April. Infections on Friday were 71,000+, nearly double the peak back in April.
3. Few people like Trump except for his hardcore base. That is not enough to win a national election. The United States is a diverse country and in order to have resounding victory, you need support from every group in America. Trump is a divider, not a uniter. Democrats will sweep the House, Senate and White House. The Republicans won't be competitive again in national elections until they go back to their Reagan/Bush years and repudiate the Trump era.
1. Your #1 response of your post # 71, doesn't correlate to my # 1 comment that it addressed. You're now talking about unemployment. I was talking about shoppers going to stores.
2. When Trump issued his China travel ban, it was Democrats who opposed it, calling it "racist". If they had been in power, there would have been even more US deaths than there have been.
Taiwan is a tiny country of 23 million, and is an isolated island, with nowhere near the globalist connections that the US has, much of which comes from ill-advised immigration, most of which is supported by Democrats, including illegal unvetted immigration.
So now you want to talk about the statistics of Covid, do you ? OK. Just note that in mid-April, US deaths were almost 17,000 per week (16,985). That number has steadily gone down, week by week to now only 1,780 - 10% of what it was 3 months ago. A major success for the Trump administration, and its strong and effective efforts.
Also, your number of
"1,462 Americans died on Friday" is
FALSE. From July 25 to July 31, 1,780 American died (according to CDC), and you would have us believe that in that 7 day period, 1.462 (82%) died on that one day ? Not hardly.
Here's the CDC numbers. Check them for yourself. April to August >>>

3. You have no idea how many people like Trump. Even the Democrat polls have been showing him with approval ratings about equivalent to Biden. Seeing as how practically no Republicans answer these polls, Trump's approval out to be less than that of Congress (about 10%).
Trump is not a divider. He is a uniter. With the lowest unemployment levels in US history for blacks, Hispanics, Asians, veterans, disabled people, and people without a high school diploma, he has gained much support among these groups. Also has attained the lowest unemployment for women in over 70 years.
Republicans will sweep the House, Senate and White House. Democrats will never be competitive again, Their party will cease to exist, and the 2 party system will become one of conservative and moderate Republicans.
Democrats have gone far looney-left, and even brain damaged Biden has openly advocated redirecting funds away from police, at a time when leftist anarchists are calling for that.
Trump is now the law and order president, and that is supported by the overwhelming majority of the American people, including blacks, and especially them.
