Despite declining numbers, the NRA is still a huge political force. Common interest in gun ownership might be a political trojan horse.

NOT for me, I quit them in the early 90's.
That's when they changed from gun safety and training to "The gubmint's a comin fer my gun's" trash.
I still have my rifles and pistols.

I bailed out about then as well because they wouldn't use facts to argue against the anti's. They just wanted the fight to go on and on.
