Republicans propose declaring Idaho a 'Christian state'

Establishing Christianity as the national religion is certainly not something any thinking person should support, but it takes a special kind of stupid to draw any equivalence to ISIS.

These people are out there beheading children, are they?
Same mentality. Trying to prove that their God is the only one. It's not the actions, it's the "thinking", and I use the term very loosely.
^ that

BTW- welcome to the forum n00b :)
Afghan midwife murdered for spreading birth control is just one example, because you apparently don't know **** all about the group we've been at war with for almost 15 years. I'll be setting you to ignore btw. Nothing personal. I've done that with almost all of the clown people so far. I just seriously consider that someone that immature could say anything worth reading. :)
newsflash n00b!!! Cons been bombing abortion clinics (AKA- birth control) for a while now. Thats just different somehow huh? Glad to help.

Yes we know, you Communists/Progressives hate Christians. We get it. But this one's even loony for you nutters. Pretty desperate expression of hate towards Christians.

When's the last time a Christian threatened to cut y'all nutters' heads off in the name of Jesus and Christianity? Get back to us on that, will ya?

The murderous impulses of certain Christian extremists are restrained by a government and a society which no longer condones lynchings.

Those Republicans sure believe in religious freedom. You walk down a street and bingo you find the Republican party has suddenly declared you to be a Christian or something. How come the Republicans get that power and not the Democrats?
Do non-Christians have to leave Idaho, or if they find a courthouse with the ten commandments can they get a waiver, a visitor's pass or something?

Christianity has a cruel and violent history. Just imagine if Christians once again had the power they wish for to dominate and govern America and our way of life. Secular sanity must prevail - the way the founders intended.

Newsflash, Chief... more than 77% of Americans already identify as Christian... and have dominated and governed America and its way of life for as long as The Republic has existed. They are also the ones who insisted upon a Separation of Church and State in the first place, having seen what religious squabbling had done to Europe in the previous few centuries.

The founders gave us a "Godless" Constitution.

The American Taliban - 57% of Republicans support establishing Christianity as national religion

Scary! Really scary!

Equating American Christians with the Taliban?

Please consider yourself cleared to proceed to pound sand up your tailpipe at your discretion and earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Be careful with religious legislation. We have a bill in the Utah lege that will guarantee both LGBT and religious beliefs.

The way it is written we could get this.

As the legal framework for a Republic founded upon the guidance of Nature's God and the Creator and Divine Providence, as outlined in the Declaration of Independence.

Are they also planning to rewrite the Constitution?

Anyone who says RWs "love" the US hasn't been paying attention.
Says the Obama fluffer.
Says the Cruz fluffer.
Cruz? You're really not that ignorant? Are you?
Not as ignorant as you by far.
I'm not the one polishing Obama's pole daily. You are, which proves my point well.
 but you are polishing Cruz's every chance. Right?

Unchecked religion of any kind is a recipe for disaster - including Christianity. History has proven that fact.

Morons.

The Constitution DOES mention God -- In the ratification clause, "In the Year Of Our LORD, 1787"

Idiot.

And the Constitution is predicated on the Declaration of Independence, which mentions God FOUR Times and names 'Our Creator' as the benefactor of all our rights.

stupid ******* dimocraps

As a Idahoan
I hope they make me the head of state. I would destroy all those statues erected to that stoopid horse called the bronco, burn their sweatshirts, banners, etc.
Then I would make the Y the official state symbol and bow down to the Cougar (of BYU)

To the barricades!

As a Republican, let me apologize for Edgetho's and the far right's revisionist stupidity. The mention is nothing more than an attestation for the courts to register the document, not of convention members that God is part of our governing charter.
