Well yeah. People want to live out this fantasy about being the opposite sex. Instead of getting them therapy, we pander to their impossible dreams. After the surgeries they finally realize it's impossible to be another gender, and the surgeries they went through stops them from having actual sex for the rest of their lives, so they off themselves.

What we should be doing is working on making them realize that before they do anything stupid with their bodies.
