It was a bad day all around for Democrats. Thus a good day for America.

Republican John Lujan has won the special election runoff for Texas House District 118, flipping the Democratic-friendly seat in San Antonio.

The victory by Lujan gives Republicans an early win in their drive to make new inroads in South Texas after President Joe Biden underperformed there last year.

With all vote centers reporting Tuesday night, Lujan was leading Democrat Frank Ramirez 51.2% to 48.8%, according to unofficial results. Lujan briefly held the seat in 2016, while Ramirez is a former staffer for the San Antonio City Council and at the Texas Legislature.

...

The seat on San Antonio’s South Side favors Democrats and Biden carried it by 14 percentage points last year. But the GOP had gone all in to capture the seat, hoping to score an early victory in their quest to make new gains in South Texas after Biden's underwhelming numbers throughout the region.

...

Still only winning by a couple of percentage points, which isn't good. moderates and indies that put Trump over in the GOP primaries should vote in the Dem primaries en masse and primary the vermin out; they can still vote for whomever they want in the general elections. They can go either way, put the flakiest freaks on the Dem side on the ballots, or put moderates on; either way is a win for the moderates and indies; the freaks would lose by bigger percentages, or the moderates win at the local and state levels.

This guy won in San Antonio; latino voters are socially conservative to moderates. This result won't happen often in other Democratic distircts, certainly not Houston's minority wards, maybe Dallas and El Paso. San Antonio is Cruz's house.

All these things point toward the fact that 'communism isn't trending in America'. But this is only the beginning of what we have to do to stop the totalitarian plague that Democrats are trying so hard to infect our country with.

I agree. Hey weren't some of the lefty loons on this board saying Texas would be going blue??

I doubt any place will be going blue after four years of the walking, talking disaster Bidung.

The across-the-board rejection of Joe Biden and Democrats continues.

A Republican managed to flip a Democratic-held Texas state House seat Tuesday in a district that President Joe Biden won in November by 14 points.

While most of the attention nationally was on Republican victories across Virginia and a surprisingly close race in New Jersey, one Texas special election could be a sign that Democrats are in trouble nationwide.

Republican John Lujan defeated Democrat Frank Ramirez 51 percent to 49 percent on Tuesday to take the Texas House District 118 race, The Texas Tribune reported.

Now we get to watch them try to lay blame on everyone but themselves. It's a good day...

Easy to flip seats if you redistrict in order to gain an advantage

Is this 2021's "Russia, Russia, Russia" battlecry for the Dems?

LOL

I wouldn't be too worried if I was Nancy, or Shumy. They lost by such a small margin, that it can be easily overcome just by giving money to all of the illegals that are flooding into our country in exchange for their vote. The New Americans, like the ones that disappeared from the Biden camp a few months ago, and the new swarm on their way, will decide our elections, as soon they get the right to vote from the Democrats. Dangling up to a million bucks in front of their noses, will deliver the result the Dems need to never lose again...
We are to late. If the illegals don't overthrow us, our children will...
