Republican Introduces Plan to Abolish Federal Income Taxes

It's about time. This should have been done decades ago. Republicans will bring fiscal sanity back to DC.

---Republican Introduces Plan to Abolish Federal Income Taxes---

The Fair Tax is not a recent initiative; it was initially created and advocated by Americans for Fair Taxation in the mid-1990s. The first introduction of the Fair Tax in Congress was in 1999 by then-Representative John Linder, and it has been reintroduced in every Congress since.

Americans don’t want it.

As somebody that’s in a high tax bracket I wouldn’t mind my tax rate going down. There are disagreements I have based on that the founders never truly wanted large power in federal government and for good reason. To some degree I think a number of things that have been allowed for the federal government to take control of are unconstitutional, but if we hadn’t changed the constitution allowing permanent taxation and become more about United States of America with a more powerful federal government and strong standing military. We would never became the main world power. I am more of a state rights person as it was intended, but there would’ve been drawbacks to completely keeping a very limited power federal government. I consider myself a Michigander first and then a American.

I consider myself a citizen of the world, then an American. Parochialism is one of the main reasons for conflict. Being a Michigander isn’t anything special, just as Lee’s reason for going with the Confederacy was nothing special.

I’ll pass on the silly liberal socialist citizen of the world bullshit. Good luck with that though. I’ve been all over the world for 20 years. There a lot of great countries and people out there and there’s a lot of shitty ass ones. I’ll stick with being a Michigander and an American. 😊

Globalism is the future and English is its language. Don’t blow the opportunity.

And no one believed me when I said Trump and his followers are actually stupid enough to think income taxes can be replaced by tariffs.

Sad.

The sad truth is Trump knows damned well it can't be done. And as he and his daughter are both importers, he also knows China doesn't pay for his tariffs.

This guy is gaslighting the living bejeesus out of the rubes.

Trump's tariffs are a grift.

You see, every company that builds their stuff in China and then imports it here who puts large wads of cash into Trump's pocket gets an exemption from his tariffs.

Apple CEO Jim Cook got exemptions the first time around, and he just put a million dollars into Trump's inauguration to ensure he gets exempted again.

Then there's DOGE boi. Also sucking that tiny orange cock to get those exemptions for all his Teslas built in China.

But all you suckers are going to pay more for all your appliances, apparel, and accessories.

Trump's grift-for-exemptions plan means every other tariff is going to have to be that much higher to offset those revenue losses.

Have fun with that.

Only a damned fool believes the income tax can or will be replaced by tariffs.

Smoke and mirrors, kids. To conceal the oligarchs' grift.

But you are already sold on the idea, because Trump said so and you unquestionably bleev it.

So I'm wasting my time.

1. The Fair Tax would never get 60 votes in the Senate, so its DOA
2. The Fair Tax would hit those below 90% harder than the top 10%
3. The Fair TAx would hurt the economy by making buying things unaffordable

4. I could see a small Federal Sales Tax as a revenue enhancer if and only if its used to start paying down the Debt

Don't hold your breath. The Fair Tax has been introduced in each Congress for 20 years now. It's been roughly that long since I last looked at it. I wasn't impressed. Its plan to get rid of the IRS, yet send monthly rebate checks to all families, reminds me of some sort of nonsense from George McGovern's 1972 campaign and also ripe for abuse.

And no one believed me when I said Trump and his followers are actually stupid enough to think income taxes can be replaced by tariffs.
Let's give it a shot and see if it works.
