They'd be wrong, because southern baptists are a religion. Islam is not a religion, and even if it was, it still is in a status of being outlawed by the Constitution (Article 6, Section 2, the Supremacy Clause) by virtue of its supremacism.

The truth is that Islam has been outlawed by the Constitution for 225 years, and this simply has not been enforced.

US Constitution - Article 6, Section 2

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

Then the country would make at least one big mistake.

Just as we all have had to adjust our thinking to accommodate the youngsters who are transgendered and little boys might be better off using the girls restrooms, so can't we recognize the Founding Fathers were not looking to grant Islam the same kind of freedoms as the less virile Judeo/Christian religions?
