Remember Who We Are

1.I am speaking as a Trump voter, and a conservative. We are at this point, the power in America. Remember what the Democrats/Liberals did when they were the power......
....let's not become them.

2."Mahmoud Khalil was a graduate student at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at the time of the 2024 Columbia University pro-Palestinian campus occupations.<a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>6<span>]</span></a> He is a permanent U.S. resident with a green card.<a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia

3. The detention is the first publicly known deportation effort related to pro-Palestine activism under President Donald Trump, who has promised to punish students and others he says support Hamas or promote antisemitism.<a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>6<span>]</span></a><a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia

4. There is no criminal charge against Khalil.

5. This individual, as abhorent as he and his views are, should be seen in the context of the reason we voted against the Democrats: they enforced censorship against those who didn't agree with their possitions. We cannot allow ourselves to use our power to become those Fascists.

This Khalil should not be deported for his views.

He distributed pro-Hamas propaganda leaflets with the logo of Hamas printed on them. This was at a time when there was still an American hostage being held by Hamas, mind you.

If he had been an immigrant on a campus handing out Ku Klux Klan flyers, do you think he should be deported?

It is far too easy to find reasons to punish someone......just what the Fascists....Democrats did with 1500 Americans on Jan6. I want us to stick to principles. The loud mouth Hamas supporter was no threat to attack the government....same as Jan6.

Let us not become them.
I'm siding with Rubio on this. Sorry we disagree. :dunno:

My management sense though is that you don't blame the system when bad/incompetent/intentionally illegal people misuse it. And you can't fix a bad system by changing the people either. We just need good people, good systems, good policy put into place and maintained long enough that a future bad administration can't do so much damage with it.
well there's a lot that could be said about that FF.

of course, much is dependent on perspective

i often wonder what our founding fathers would have said viewing what the government they created morphed into

  1. Terrorizing Jewish students.
  2. Causing damage to the university.
  3. Disrupting the school.
  4. Promoting a terrorist organization.
I assume you wouldn't say that unless you could provide proof of charges and/or arrest.

Otherwise you'd just be like the Democrats we voted out.

What is the law against distributing those leaflets?

What was his culpability in kidnapping said American?

I'm gonna stick to this individual and demand that you provide any criminality.

And if you can't then I won't be marching with you.

I'm a constutionalist......I thought you were.

How many laws does the average American break every day?

Yes, that's right, the average person is thought to commit at least three felonies a day. Again, a person may think they really have to work at committing such a crime, but the facts say that the abundance of felony crimes on the books makes it easier than expected.
Google

The party in power will never have to look far to find a law that they can claim we are breaking.
This is why we must honor our principles.
One of the reasons I voted for Trump, perhaps the best reason, was my opposition to censorship, and the cancel culture that targets speech they oppose.

Don't slip into the Fascism of the Democrats.

Evidently you fuckers are protoNazis who want to conquer our allies while hyper billionaires dismantle the social safety net.

I don't trust that most of our elected officials fully understand them

As did I PC, unfortunately his EO is doing exactly that........~S~

Like toobfreak posted above, terrorizing Jewish students, inciting people to cause damage to the university and disrupting the school, and promoting a terrorist organization.

But if you want to get technical, Mahmoud Khalil is not an American citizen. Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, green card holders do not need to be convicted of a crime to be deported. If there are reasonable grounds to believe they engaged in, or are likely to engage in terrorist activities, they could be arrested and then deported.

The Immigration and Nationality Act states this:

(B) Terrorist activities

Any alien who is described in subparagraph (B) or (F) of section 1182(a)(3) of this title is deportable.

(C) Foreign policy

(i) In general

An alien whose presence or activities in the United States the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States is deportable.

(ii) Exceptions

The exceptions described in clauses (ii) and (iii) of section 1182(a)(3)(C) of this title shall apply to deportability under clause (i) in the same manner as they apply to inadmissibility under section 1182(a)(3)(C)(i) of this title.

(D) Participated in Nazi persecution, genocide, or the commission of any act of torture or extrajudicial killing

Any alien described in clause (i), (ii), or (iii) of section 1182(a)(3)(E) of this title is deportable.

(E) Participated in the commission of severe violations of religious freedom

Any alien described in section 1182(a)(2)(G) of this title is deportable.

There's also the fact that Mahmoud Khalil also holds an Algerian citizenship, so he could be considered a flight risk.

If you expect your post to be read, post like an adult sans the vulgarity your sort defaults to.

What crimes has this individula been charged with?

Can you name them?

If you can't, your post, informative though it may be, is simply a disguise for the sort of lawfare that the Democrats attempted to use on Trump.

Name the charges.

Thank you for standing on principle and being consistent. Sadly that's a rare thing around here these days.

The J6rs unlawfully rioted against the government.

Many of them were tried and found guilty by impartial courts.

Don't know and don't care. Just deport him already.

One of the few times I have to disagree. He is a terrorist supporter. This goes far beyond "speech "
