1.I am speaking as a Trump voter, and a conservative. We are at this point, the power in America. Remember what the Democrats/Liberals did when they were the power......
....let's not become them.

2."Mahmoud Khalil was a graduate student at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at the time of the 2024 Columbia University pro-Palestinian campus occupations.<a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>6<span>]</span></a> He is a permanent U.S. resident with a green card.<a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia

3. The detention is the first publicly known deportation effort related to pro-Palestine activism under President Donald Trump, who has promised to punish students and others he says support Hamas or promote antisemitism.<a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>6<span>]</span></a><a href="Detention of Mahmoud Khalil - Wikipedia

4. There is no criminal charge against Khalil.

5. This individual, as abhorent as he and his views are, should be seen in the context of the reason we voted against the Democrats: they enforced censorship against those who didn't agree with their possitions. We cannot allow ourselves to use our power to become those Fascists.

This Khalil should not be deported for his views.

In Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969), the Supreme Court established the "imminent lawless action" test, limiting government restrictions on speech to cases where it is both directed at inciting imminent violence and likely to produce such action.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • The Case:
Clarence Brandenburg, a Ku Klux Klan leader, was convicted under an Ohio law that prohibited advocating for violence or crime.

  • The Ohio Law:
The law, known as the Criminal Syndicalism Act, made it a crime to advocate for violence or crime as a means of political reform.

  • The Supreme Court Ruling:
The Supreme Court overturned Brandenburg's conviction, finding that the Ohio law violated his First Amendment right to free speech.
    • The speech must be "directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action".

Columbia is a cesspool graduating morons

Khalil is not a citizen of the US. He was given temporary permission to attend an American university, not advocate violence against US citizens. The US is perfectly justified in revoking his visa.
It is far too easy to find reasons to punish someone......just what the Fascists....Democrats did with 1500 Americans on Jan6. I want us to stick to principles. The loud mouth Hamas supporter was no threat to attack the government....same as Jan6.

Let us not become them.

Freedom of speech and freedom to intimidate and even kidnap are two different things.

If the Jew hating creature encouraged the latter, his actions exceeded the parameters of that which is covered under free speech.
Not according to the Supreme Court, as I pointed out.

Who did he kidnap?

When you say "intimidate," show me how it is use in law?
Remember how we applied the term 'snowflake' to those who claimed to be frightened of Trump supporters?

We need to be a model of Americans......not more like the Fascist Democrats.

"In National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie, the Supreme Court ruled in 1977 that the Illinois Supreme Court had infringed on the National Socialist Party of America's (NSPA) constitutional rights to freedom of speech by denying their request for a stay pending appeal, concerning an injunction preventing the NSPA from marching in Skokie, Illinois.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • The Context:
In 1977, the National Socialist Party of America (NSPA), a group of self-styled Nazis, planned a march in Skokie, Illinois, a community with a large Jewish population, including Holocaust survivors.

  • The Village's Response:
The Village of Skokie sought an injunction to prevent the march, arguing that the display of swastikas and other Nazi symbols would incite violence and hatred.

    • The ACLU's Involvement:
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) controversially agreed to represent the NSPA, arguing for the group's right to free speech.
    • The Illinois Courts:
The Illinois courts initially sided with the Village of Skokie, issuing an injunction that prohibited the NSPA from marching and displaying certain materials.
    • The Supreme Court's Decision:
The Supreme Court, in a per curiam opinion, ruled that the Illinois Supreme Court had erred by denying the NSPA's request for a stay pending appeal.
    • The Ruling's Significance:
The Supreme Court's decision emphasized the importance of free speech, even for unpopular or offensive views, and set a precedent for future cases involving freedom of speech and hate speech. "

My hope is that the Trump people are only trying to do their sort of intimidation against thes Hamas Nazis that were encouraged by the Democrats, and never intended to deport this fool.

Did those Palestinian protestors injure 140 Police Officers?

Those who attacked the Capitol were pardoned

Not according to the Supreme Court, as I pointed out.

Preventing Jewish students is not a matter of speech and locking students in a building is kidnap.

There is no criminal charge against Khalil.

Can you document him "preventing"????

And if you can't, will you agreee that 'protesting' is not a cause for deportation?

More mindless nonsense. This person represents the highly intelligent Asian sector who get admitted into Ivy League schools because they are sooo much smarter than everybody else. She shows us that the term Model Minority is indeed a myth. This person is an imbecile.

What an interesting, if inconsistent, post.

"highly intelligent Asian sector who get admitted into Ivy League schools because they are sooo much smarter than everybody else."
OK, I'm gonna plead guilty as charged.

Columbia is my alma mater.

그리고, 네, 저는 아시아인입니다

Now....smarter than everyone else....you decide:
African-American students with scores of 1100 had the same chance of getting into an elite school as white students who had a score of 1410…but Asian-Americans needed a 1550 SATscore.
Is there a bias against college applications from Asian students

Notice that the author of the post to which I am replying, who supposedly read and understood the OP to which he voluntarily subscribed, wrote nothing about it.

Kind of make the charge of "imbecile" a boomerang.
