How times have changed. I'd prefer more products made in Japan though with so much inflatioin they are in a difficult marketing spot. Trump was wise to meet their PM second.

Yes, Japan used to be a Hallmark of precision and quality. That said, it seems ALL manufacturers today are much more committed to profits over quality.

But speaking of quality vs quantity......
With China's massive manufacturing advantage today, China would likely defeat the West in a conventional war the exact same way the US defeated Germany in WWII. Sheer numbers. Germany always had a technological advantage but the US overwhelmed Germany with numbers.
If not for the nuclear deterrent I'm fairly sure we'd be looking at Chinese domination by now.

No ... I don't ... "Made in Japan" was a catch-word for pure junk ... I suppose the younger folks don't remember that and the Japanese shore as hell want that fact forgotten ...

Maybe it's your spelting ... today we use "Made in China" ... although that too is changing to "Made in Vietnam" or someplace ... there's always some backwards shithole nation for Americans to exploit ... Japan took their turn, now it's someone else's turn ...

It's not just "America". Communist China exploits their own people. EVERY nation that advanced did. It's HUMAN nature, not just American nature.
Some people have been utterly brainwashed to really hate America.

Jeez.
